i like your ideas very much but it is a very expensive technique. liquid fimo costs here like 12 dollars and you need a lot of it... too bad... maybe it is possible to fill it with metallic clay after a few layers of liquid... maybe it will give similar effect. need to try...

Those are great! I love the ideas you come up with. :) I have tea lights to modify but not a heat gun yet still. Not really in the budget either for the foreseeable future though my birthday is in a couple months and I am hoping. LOL. I wonder if you can do that but baking the liquid clay instead of using the heat gun. I guess I will try it. :) - Heidi

Im wondering if instead of filling it up with liquid polymer clay could you use epoxy resin after doing the few initial coats of liquid clay or would it be too stiff and not come out of the mold?
@TheeAirworks
@TheeAirworks 8 жыл бұрын
resin is fine too , but the crystal clear resins take 24 hours to dry each mix........ so take 5 days or so to make this , . where , as with clear liquid clay , take 4 minutes about each layer to cure with heat........ so... if you want to wait a day each layer , have at it! will be more clear using resin also, more glasslike . search "koi painted resin", should bring you too "using resin" with layers of painting.
