I had a question come in today about making the bracelet bases. It's true that they can easily break when you remove them from the can. Here are a few things you can do: 1) Make sure to use Sculpey Premo for the base. The regular Sculpey clay is never strong enough. 2) Cool the base COMPLETELY before sliding it off the can. 3) Loosen the base from the can with your fingernail or a thin piece of plastic before removing it. 4) Be sure to use the thickest setting of your pasta machine for the base strip. 5) If it still breaks, just superglue it, let it dry and and use it anyway. I've done that a few times myself. :-)

Hi Teresa, just discovered your Your Tubes. I am also in Indiana. I started doing a little bit of Polymer Clay caning while living out in New Mexico and since moving here 3 years ago I haven't touched it. I am an avid beader. But watching your video's has really inspired me to pull it all out. I wanted to ask you because I have lots of clay. I have some primo but I have sculpty also. Can they be mixed together in a can, such as If my primo is my white and sculpty is my black? I hope that made sense.

Are you working on the glass of a picture frame? If so, what a great idea!
@TeresaPandoraSalgado10 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yes its a picture frame. I have different ones for different projects. I often use a square one with concentric circles.
@sherrelleinsig243610 жыл бұрын
I noticed the frame you are working on. Does the frame itself bother you while you are working. I thought about doing the same thing so the glass edges are not exposed, but worried about the ridge in the frame. Just wondering, since it was holding me back from doing it the same as you. I love the graph paper in the frame idea. Love your work.

Hi Teresa, I have been watching your videos endlessly and wondered with this particular bracelet you are wearing how it was made? The separation or disconnected look. Are the shapes just laid on the black clay strip? The dark in between is throwing me off lol If it is clay or just the shapes of the cane pieces the keep it disconnected so to speak? I didn't see a video for this type of bracelet. Again. Love your videos. Thank you so much in advance.

Love your videos, but if people fold your first skinner blend the way you showed it being folded, there is no point in offsetting. It needs to be folded with the short ends on either side - mostly white on one side, mostly black on the other.
