I know this video was posted over 3 years ago, but I just now accidentally stumbled upon it & *W O W!* I've been looking at several different styles of crystals set into polymerclay, but since I'm STILL out of work because of Covid, I haven't been able to purchase anything. Then I see this!!! You make it look so easy! I mean, I wonder if I could make something on my own... Not as elaborate as this though! LOL! Of course, its quite evident from your finished Magickal Masterpiece that you've probably had A LOT of practice & have been creating beautiful things for quite some time! I just subbed to your channel but haven't even looked at anything other than this video so I'm hoping you have other process videos posted! ~🙏💙🙏With Much Graditude🙏💙🙏~

Hello Erica! Thank you so much for this beautfiyl comment! Welcome to our community and hope you find other interesting videos on our channel. We have other work in progress videos. We don't post as much as we should do but hopefully will upload more soon. Everyone can create using polymer clay. You should try if it intrigues you. Off corse it needs time and practice to become better but this is for everything in life. 😊 Best regards!

Amazing! Do you recommend putting a finishing coat of some kind after baking to keep the paint and pigment from chipping? If so, what would you recommend? Thank you!

When the clay gets hard or dry, does it has chance to break? Does it need to keep away from moisture or water?
@SmeRuci_
@SmeRuci_ 5 жыл бұрын
If you are refering after baking, the clay has a kind of elasticity that doesn't allow to be broken. It needs to be baked well. Even moisture and water doesn't affect the clay, it can affect the surface if you put powders or paint.

Amazing I like making things like charms and sometimes beads for necklaces out of polymer clay so I deffinatly need to try this! But one question. Do you glue the crystals in, and if so what do you use?
@SmeRuci_
@SmeRuci_ 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. It is better to use glue for the crystals to keep them more secure but you can also sculpt them make them entrapped. The glue type doesn't mater. Whatever super glue you have.

Beautiful piece of art...I love the fast motion...I have watched alot of videos and love how you made this one. The music is great too. You aren't chssing down tools that rolled off your table, or losing your "whatever" and then taking half the video to talk about how you lost it and can't find it so must muster up a way to do...whatever 🙄😉. You don't talk about your personal issues😬 or have to leave screen to let the cat out. Omg...this video is so refreshing...so much talent. Thanks. 😊 I will be a subscriber.

Do you use glue to stick the crystal to the clay or is not necessary? Also what do you use as a "top coat"?

do you glue the crystals down before putting them on the clay?
@SmeRuci_
@SmeRuci_ 5 жыл бұрын
It is best to put glue on the crystals so they are more secure. Clay has elasticity and they can pop out without glue.

If u put the stone and then bake it won’t it crack the stone ?
@SmeRuci_
@SmeRuci_ 3 жыл бұрын
There are some crystals that are more fragile than others. For the most part the temp of the stove is not so high that it will crack the stone.

What do you use to seal in the powder?
@SmeRuci_
@SmeRuci_ 5 жыл бұрын
We use Cernit transparent varnish in matt or glossy. Sometimes we use Liguiq clay on the surface and bake again. The second one is more secure but takes away the glittery effect.

Can you tell me at what point you put it in the oven to bake? I didn't see in the video! Is it before or after you add the crystals and the mica powder? thank you
@SmeRuci_
@SmeRuci_ 5 жыл бұрын
Hello Deborah! I bake it at 4:47 after I put the mica powder and the crystals. The polymer clay needs to be sticky so the powder can be attached. After you bake it you also seal the powder so it doesn't fade away.

Deborah you can cook them because the temperature is not so high. With the crystals I have used never had problems but I think some of them are more delicate.

SmeRuci you should do more tutorials like this. I was searching for a video to show how to incorporate real stones with polymer clay. I'm new to the polymer clay. I have lots of tumbled stones and such that I would like to make bezels and frames for with polymer clay. All the other tutorials are polymer clay with fake cabochons.
@SmeRuci_
@SmeRuci_ 6 жыл бұрын
LAURA'S WORLD it's the same process. You should just make sure that the stone is secured properly because polymer clay has also elasticity. The temperature of baking is very important. With a little practise and you are good to go. Wish you luck with your creations. Thank you for your comments. We are planning on making more videos. 😊
