@@LiaVinicius Can you imagine being the pilot of a 777landing at say Heathrow International on a foggy night. You taxi up to the terminal and out of the shadows steps Martina in full costume waving a couple of glowing daggers. A moment of panic and then you realize that the signals are actually correct, guiding you in. You look down into the cockpit for a second but when you look back outside to say thanks, the mysterious woman with the glowing daggers is gone... lol I'm glad to know I gave you a laugh today! Does anyone else want them to make matching armor for Hansi? I would love to see Martina teaching him how to make his own style and then having those dramatic shots where they are fighting back-to-back. I think it would be cool to see him doing something we usually watch Martina do. I just really like when they are both in the videos cause they are the cutest couple ever!

A small effects board might fit in the hilt. Don't know many but the smallest I know of are for 3rd party Lego lighting. Flickering and pulse for engInes, fire, water etc. Pulse might work for picking up the dagger but dropping could cut power at brightest part.

3 casting methods in 1 video... Nice. For shaping soft metals like brass I really recommend the files. Surprisingly a good file set will be faster and more precise at removing material than Dremel. And with file it' easier to achieve a flat area. Whole video is a great manufacturing methods overview. The blades turned out great, and turning LEDs via reed switch is a great idea! Kudos to you!

They turned out amazing. I love how both of you are always trying new processes and are not afraid of showing them even if you are not sure how it will turn out.

Reminds me of how back in the eighties, Rusty Dawe (very well-known American costumer -- he and his wife Diane, plus their friends the Turners, won a lot of costuming awards at SF conventions, and later CostumeCons, back in the day) made Stormbringer, Elric's sword from Michael Moorcock's books. Similar, in that it only worked when he held it, but different. No LEDs, so IIRC he used fiber optics. No teensy power supplies, so he had the battery on him, camouflaged as part of his Elric costume. He ran wires down his arm to his gauntlet, which had metal contacts in the palm (disguised as studs in the leather or something, with the same design in the other gauntlet), and the sword's hilt was also metal. When he held the sword, that connected the sword to the battery, and when he waved it, the light effect rippled up and down the blade. But if he let someone else hold it, they couldn't make it work. Magic sword -- only works for Elric. :) Your daggers are massively awesome, and go really well with the costume!

Seriously, you should make a short film that includes all of your props you guys have made. It would be cool to see a fantasy world where all of the magical items exist together!

I'm watching this now, two years later, after having followed a full jewellery making and goldsmithing course (with lost wax method!), and guys I have to say that I was amazed by how well you handled that being your first time! You also sanded that and polished that with the correct stuff, the same I use at the goldsmithing school, that was so good to see!

Man, incredible daggers! One thing that I thought of was maybe adding a capacitor in the circuit, so that the light would come on and off gradually, instead of straight on-off? Shouldn't be too difficult to add afterwards!
