POLYMER CLAY SPONTANEOUS FREEFORM TUTORIAL: 3 BIZARRE CREATURES FROM THE DEEP...

This video features playing in polymer clay and coming up with some small clay creatures from the deep!! This video takes me into where…there is no plan. I have no direction in my creating here…creating something just to create!! And in doing so, I hope it inspires you to pick up some polymer clay and just play!! @@laurajschiller I've been racking my brain to remember the fantasy movie with the 'Guards' who resembled your main piece with the cyclops eye. I've spent the past 20 or so years working with fabrics, making lap quilts for pediatric cancer, ALS and breast cancer and am returning to clay which I 'played' with in the late 1990's when the only 'tutorials' were Donna Kato on 'The Carol Duval Show'. Now, we're fortunate to have KZbin and all of the wunnerful artists sharing their knowledge and art.

Hi Laura, this is incredible. I love it. 💜💙💚💛🧡 I noticed your polymer clay looks very moist and super soft. What type of polymer clay do you use and why is it so moist?

Thank you so much!! So, the clay I am using here is leftover scrap clay. No particular brand, and this is usually a combination of all brands of polymer clay. As to why the clay looks super soft is because I work with it in my hands quite a bit to get it to this state. Plus, I use conditioners into my clay if the clay is too hard. Mind you, I have to be a little careful with the conditioners and not use too much. If you are interested in that. You can check out my video on conditioning polymer clay.
