Hello dear polymer clay enthusiast!
If you like dichroic glass and faux techniques, you'll certainly love this tutorial.
I used nail art foil with a holographic effect (and in beautiful colors) and UV resin to achieve the faux dichroic look.
The interest of this technique is in the fact that you can glue the nail art on top of the clay and then coat the piece with a thin layer of polymer clay and then texture the clay and use your craft knife to remove parts of the design.
The nail art foil will show through these openings and after baking the piece (a second time in fact), after covering the clay with UV resin (and curing it), you'll get a very beautiful faux dichroic look.
As always I hope that you'll like this idea and use it in your work with clay.
Happy claying!
Mihaela
