It's just such a different look... But I have seen a lot of stamped work that looks sick. That is an art of it's own. 👌

My experience with polysand is ...that it all goes black eventually no matter what color sand you use.

Have you ever done pavers over existing concrete? If yes, how does that go? Thanks. Love your videos.

Never a full patio but sometimes we cover up a concrete footing instead of taking it out. If it is low enough, you can screed some bedding material right over it and lay pavers on that. Sometimes you can mortar them right to the concrete. But either way, I don't typically recommend either. the best way is to remove the concrete and prep the base the proper way.

Sand works best. If it’s thick enough you can run a plate compactor on top of it to get the polymeric sand in. It’s faster and you know it reached all the way in.

Where did you get that rubber tamper? What’s it called?
@TheChristianHardscaper4 ай бұрын
I bought it at a local masonry supply store. But here is a link to one you can buy off Amazon 👉amzn.to/4cmftUG

You ever try putting a piece of cow mat on your gas tamper.

I’m looking at getting this same poly sand for my patio project. I know you said it takes 48 hours for it to set, but how long do you think it takes to be “rain proof”? We’ve got some rain in the forecast over the next week. Thanks for the video
@TheChristianHardscaper2 ай бұрын
I would say if you have 24 hrs before light rain, you will be fine. But if it is heavy rain, give yourself a couple days. Not worth trying to get it in before a heavy rainstorm. Just wait until after that storm, it will be worth it in the end. ✌

Have you ever used permeable joint sand? Thoughts?
@TheChristianHardscaper4 ай бұрын
I have used Easy Joint a few times but 95% of the time I just use regular poly. Much more cost effective and when done properly will last many years. ✌

What’s your climate like ? Im in Saskatchewan & wanna try bedding with rock but everyone where I’m from uses a crushed rock/sand mixture as a base & then mortar sand to bed the pavers. We get pretty crazy frost heave in the winter & also have a lot of movement & settlement in the ground in general.

I live in Massachusetts USA which has multiple freeze / thaw climates throughout the winter. Here is a link to a video I made explaining my base prep method which is excellent for cold climates 👉kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKfbnZh3bJdrp9k

Question,is there a reason why you don’t use a compactor?

I have numerous times, but I don't have a pad for my current compactor. Just need to find one.

Why do you need to insert your religion in everything ?
@TheChristianHardscaper5 күн бұрын
First of all, I don’t think I do.. but even if it seems that way, religion isn’t an outfit you put on. It’s a lifestyle. Christianity is my life
