I find that the Korg Krome is one of the easiest keyboards to program (combi mode) to copy sounds off records. Good job on the programming.

You not installed the sample from the pack. Please copy the META.IMG and SAMPLE.IMG on the root of SD card and restart the unit . Keep this SD card on the slot when start the power on.

Wow great work! Could you please tell me how to convert a .sng file to a .wav file in Korg Krome? Any guidance on what software or hardware to use would be mighty helpful. Thanks!

Unfortunately Krome not convert the SNG to wav file itself. You need the DAW or Wave editor software. I use Logic ProX but is only for MAC. Maybe a wave editor is enough for you to record the Krome. Audacity is free.

Stesco Dan Thank you so much for the response. Could you please tell me if the sounds from Krome are exactly the same if we use Logic ProX to save a wav file? Because I’ve heard that most DAWs change the sounds based on their sound fonts. I presently use audacity and Scarlett 2i2, but I feel that’s a very analog way of recording and there is a slight amount of noise generated through the cables connecting the 2i2 and the Krome. Could you suggest the best hardware through which I can use Audacity for digitally recording wav files?

@@vinayakmahadev5164 The DAW not change anything. The cheap sound card can change the sound character due the AD/DA conversion. I don't know what to say about 2i2, I use a RME Fireface and I don't have any noise or so. Please check with different cable, check the connection in the power supply, the computer ground is very important as well.

Have you ever had a problem with the sustain cutting out on some of the Kromes piano sounds?

No. I don't have any problem with piano sustain. Do you feel some strange behaviour at your piano sound ? Can you specific the programs which have the cutting sustain ?

It's a bit hard to describe, but I'm able to duplicate it when I play multiple notes at the same time then try to sustain it, sound just cuts out, even when I'm holding the notes on the keys. Again, only happens on some acoustic piano sounds.

Hi Dan! I have the cover pack and for some reason some sounds are muted, I believe they are the samplers, as for example the F045 moves like jagger (vocal/airy). Do you have any tips on how I can solve it?

Hi Fernando. I think you erase the META.IMG and SAMPLE.IMG files from your SD card. Please copy the META/SAMPLE file on the root of SD card , Insert the SD in the slot and restart the KROME. Keep the SD card in the slot each time you start the power on. If you not have the files anymore please contact me and will resend the pack again.

Are Dans sounds hotter and cut thru the mix better than the stock sounds? I just got my Krome 61 and on my first gig I found myself cranking it almost to the max just to compete with my M50 which seems to be way ballsier.
