It seems like being proud of your ancestry is helpful to having your own self respect. I wonder if having that self respect would help some of the people in this world. For me, it feels like that when I look at something I know is a mistake, I think to myself ‘Doing this thing is beneath me. I come from great people. I am better than this.’ It helps me. I wonder if it would help other people that are struggling in life.

Polynesians today do carry a significant amount of Melanesian DNA. But that DNA is in relatively long, unbroken chunks, the analyses found, suggesting that it was incorporated into Polynesians' genomes recently, perhaps about 500 to 2500 years ago,but their genome contains the most east asian genome👍

Not even lol. It started in Taiwan. And then those people came down towards Melanesia..... Some mixed and some didn't. And they all settled in Polynesia. The out of Melanesia theory doesn't really work considering that there are polys who look nothing like Melanesians and have no DNA.

@@cybor6399 It is the center of fulfillment of scripture. Effectively, it is the ends of the earth from Jerusalem. All people from the three points of the Polynesian triangle in very ancient times resided in what is now Tahiti, the Bass Islands, the Tuamoto Archipelago, and Rapa Iti. Kapu may in fact refer to a dateline established at 145 W in lands that passed through this line of longitude. Here, understanding the Kahuna is essential.

@@cybor6399 The Europeans cannot tell the story of the Polynesians. The Polynesians own that narrative and this history I am referring to precedes European expansion into Polynesia. This piece of history is essential to Austronesian history.

@@cybor6399 We can honestly fund our own missions and build relationships. But in respect, what does not make sense is how Christians went against the bible. Missionaries came to Polynesia and spread their ministries. But then they got greedy and stole the land from natives that God put in Polynesia and gave them their land and language. That should have never happened. Once one becomes a believer in Yeshua (Jesus) they become spiritual Jews (Romans 2:28 - 29) and the bible says not to oppress fellow brethren and take their land from them as a matter of money (Leviticus 25). And not only that but if Polynesians had a history in with scripture before Europeans came into Polynesia, they seemed to obliterate it and try to write everything in their own narrative. They need to repent and give the land back. Missionaries should only be there to spread the message and thats it, never ever to deprive people of land, language, and heritage.

Great question - obesity is prevalent because of our DNA. Polynesians were built for long sea voyages so our bodies would store food/fat/nutrients. Once Western foods like fast food was introduced, our body processes food in the same way. Also heavy drinking and poor food choices don’t help. Genetically speaking, Polynesians are built strong and have incredible physique.
