I was looking back at Polyphia's older stuff since I barely got into their music and I gotta say "The Most Hated" is my favorite album so far. But for some reason I've been stuck on this song along with The Worst and Loud. Man, you nailed it with this cover top to bottom!

I've actually been listening to your version instead of Polyphia's. Because the guitars are more forward in the mix in your version. There were details I missed in the original recording that you've highlighted in your playing. I'm going to share your version with people that haven't heard this song. Thanks again for your attention to detail!

Dude I love that tone! How did you learn this? Did you buy polyphia’s tabs?
@Mateusz_Wedmann3 ай бұрын
Thanks! I learn their songs by ear because I’ve noticed that their tabs don’t always include all the guitar parts that are clearly heard in the recordings, and sometimes I’ve found some errors in their tabs. If I’m struggling to learn a particular lick by ear, I slow down the track enough to figure out how to play it, or I watch how they played it live and learn it that way

Wow. That sounded so nice. It made me want to play an electric guitar, and I have not felt that way in quite some time. What do you even call music like that, slow jamz heavy metal jazz, nah too wordy. Sonic stew. That's better.
@MyrrhsArcade3 жыл бұрын
Although i heavily prefer your term for this genre of music, most people prefer to this category as math rock.
@Kira-mv6ct3 жыл бұрын
@@MyrrhsArcade Even Tim says its not really math rock because its all in 4/4
@DonovanDeans3 жыл бұрын
It's Hip Hop X Math Rock Fusion. Tim is heavily influenced in his hooks & lines from his favorite rappers, the only music he listens to (self-proclaimed.) Scotty also has hella funk groove leanings. Its really clever and innovative, but really hated on from their old fans, hence "The Most Hated". 😉

@alannkevin Жыл бұрын
did you change the B string tune? I am following the original tab and slowed down your video and something doesn't match at 1:18. You play an open B but it sounds like a D#, the riff in the original tab goes like this: ---------------- --------------- ---------------- --------------- --2------------ --------------- ----4---------- --------------- ------4-------- -4------------ --------0------ --------------- Being the B string at 4th fret a D#, but in your video your open B is a D#.... am I wrong?
@alannkevin Жыл бұрын
I know you adjusted it to fit your style which is good, but its just that its confusing when what you hear is not what its played physically
@Mateusz_Wedmann Жыл бұрын
It's in standard tuning. I played an open E string, not B. But before that, I play the D# on the G string at the 8th fret. It may look like I’m playing on a different string, probably due to the poor video quality. In tab, it should look like this: E---------------------------0------------------- B------------------------------------------------ G---------------4h8------------8------------- D------------------------------------------------ A------7---------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------------
@alannkevin Жыл бұрын
@@Mateusz_Wedmann oh that makes sense now, thats why I hear a very cowbell twangy D# because the G string is played on the 8th fret and it makes that particular sound 🤔. I sometimes go on you tube to compare what I see on their tabs because I found out that some tabs are missing some notes or are not tabbed correctly, and when you play over the track it sounds off. Thanks man for the reply, sorry you had to take time to explain it to me 🙂
