As for writing the song, tim has a video on this. The main riff was an altered beat for Jaden Smith of all people lol. He remade the beat in Ableton, changed a few notes around, and went to work. Pretty much how they write most stuff tbh

Your last question about making a song out of that, the dudes are very open about their songwriting and influences and what inspired the making of some of their songs you can check out tim henson's (the tatted guitarist) video called the making of G.O.A.T, it's actually very interesting and shows a little bit of the genius behind their sound. So yeah if someone is inspired by one of their songs and makes something out of it, they'd be the last to complain.

They just dropped a new track called Ego Death ft. Steve Vai(who was big in the 80's and is considered by many to be one of the best electric guitarists ever). So you got this fairly new up and coming band in Polyphia with amazing young guitarists, and they're doing a feature with one of the all time guitar greats. So it's a fitting collab. Also the fact that even Steve Vai admires Polyphia's skill in playing instruments speaks volumes as to how much talent they have. Vai put both Tim and Scott, the guitarists of Polyphia, in his list of top 10 talented modern guitarists who are helping to evolve music.
