I used the “Candyamp” preset by Manuel Gardner-Fernandes from Archetype: Tim Henson, as well as EQ matching from Ozone 11, which shaped the entire sound. Additionally I used Imager from Ozone to make the guitar sound wider

I have a question! I've learned the Scott riff, and I can play the riff correctly. However, when I play it with the backing track, it doesn't sound good. Yours sounds great! Why is that? I simply record my guitar and add the backing track afterward. said this, one best cover on youtube of this song !

mixing! you have to make the tone/guitar "fit" in with the backing track. alot more complex than i can explain in a simple manner here. try some basic EQ'ing and a compressor perhaps, and try to make the recorded guitar "stick out" less, or have a less sharp... placement compared to how the backing track sounds. maybe just turn down the volume abit on the recorded track and pan it to one side and see how that sounds.
