Polyphonic Aftertouch on the KORG modwave

I've been playing around with the KORG modwave and polyphonic aftertouch lately, and it's a lot of fun! The modwave feels like it was made for polyphonic aftertouch, with all its modulation features and the extremely powerful, flexible, and good-sounding synth engine. Playing with polyphonic aftertouch is a joy, but at the same time it requires some practice. I'm training my fingers to press down on the keys more gently and with greater nuance, but I still have some way to go. I thought I'd share this video of today's practice session, to perhaps inspire others to try polyphonic aftertouch with this synth as well.
The audio is recorded to SD card on a Zoom R16 mixer/recorder and normalized in Audacity. Video is recorded on a Canon EOS M50 mk2 with the included EF-M 15-45mm lens. Audio and video is synchronized in DaVinci Resolve 18 (free version).

I’m not sure. I only did it to the modwave a few days ago, so I’ll see how I like it like that in a few months. I suspect I’ll keep the wavestate with the keyboard intact, but we’ll see :-).

@@phils9333 Yeah, I just saw that one. Machined alu seems a little OTT for my needs as the thing will just sit in one place. Might see if I can work out the dimensions and knock one up from some wood.
