Can I ask why you don’t take all the metals in the trash piles
@PolyProphet2 жыл бұрын
G’day John. My current philosophy is to cover more ground. So if it’s lightweight, buried or something that has given me headaches in the past, I’ll leave and get myself in front of more piles. That gives me more chance of finding washers, ACs, Xbox’s, alloy rims, microwaves etc. The weather can affect what I grab also. If it’s raining I don’t want to be standing in the rain digging around. If this was my full time job, I’d likely be even more picky, though I’m not sure until I’m actually in that situation. Do you grab every last bit? Thanks for the question mate 🙂

Really do enjoy watching. You had this one packed pretty tight. Awesome! There were times I was saying, put it there, put it right there, and sometimes I think you heard me. LOL😃 If Only, LOL! Can you just imagine if you could do a live stream but instead of having to read the chat, you could hear thousands of us trying to tell you what to do in real time...🤪 It would probably make you go bonkers 😜and quit! LOL 😄Real Question though. Have you thought about using a cargo net on the inside of the trailer across the front of the cage for poles to keep them upright? Of course you would have to find one the right size net but you could also zip tie sections of the net to the cage to create maybe three decent sized vertical pockets, keeping the poles from leaning or falling over but allowing the section to expand as you add more. You could even designate one corner for those aluminum poles you pick up quite often. I also really like the small blue barrels that I've seen you use because they don't seem to take up much space and I have thought they would be perfect to strap in anywhere and use for shorter poles to keeping them contained. I've said it before but Man I LOVE Your Trailer!
@PolyProphet2 жыл бұрын
Haha that probably would drive me mad 😂 I’ve not thought about a net but have been thinking of a permanent drum for the poles. Yes I’m also loving the trailer too. Thank you for the message Cheryl! 😊

@PolyProphet2 жыл бұрын
Ahh I see. I thought it was for digging a drainage trench. It has a crack on the ‘shovel’ end though they welded a thick steel plate to reinforce it. Yes the bbqs may become a mainstay as I always seem to fall short of filling the trailer in the 2-3 hours. I’m evolving?! Thanks for the info Cam! 😊
@cameronhamer94322 жыл бұрын
@@PolyProphet l maybe wrong , l think it’s a tree planters shovel. The only other short narrow shovel l know of is for cleaning the tracks on a crawler like a bulldozer or a excavator. If you don’t clean them in the morning they will be packed with mud and frozen 👍🇨🇦

I was sold one years ago to use when I dug a trench to put in a French drain going across my back yard. I don't think either of you are necessarily wrong. Yes usually the long handle is needed for trench digging but basically Its just a tool for digging the right width needed to get the job done. 😉 I also have one with the short D handle but would not want to use it for digging a deep trench but have used both shovels for multiple things. Both are handy to have around.
