Man, what a super cool app. I can’t believe no one did this before. It’s brilliant.brilliantly simple.

Thanks tony for this incredible app. I hope you add functionality to it. You know what I mean. There are so many amazing things to add, like repeats so that a second key tap will trigger the same port more than once. I can think of so many things and I am sure you know them all. You make such cool apps. Keep them coming.

Nice one. May be obvious but you can set up multiple apps on the same Polythemus output to stack voices. And, maybe, transpose one of them down 2 octaves or whatever... Or do like you did with Enkl (X of the same sound) but only process every third note with a delay...

Tony makes some great appsMidi Echo is another very useful. Thanks for this you have cleared up a few things just thought it was a layering app but now I see more potential.

I’m having a problem with this working with Gadget. I set Gadget MIDI mode ( in AUM) to advanced, and a couple of synth gadgets to channel 1 to 4. I set the AUM keyboard to input polythemus on channel 1, and have set up 4 output channels. Doesn’t work, no sound at all. That is strange, right, because I think it should. I can trigger Gadget channels with multiple Rozeta instances.

Is it possible to use this to controll 2 or more hardware synths?
@dscapes15 жыл бұрын
You could have made that lead sound 4 and 5, then no worries about having to lift a finger before the next note. Amazing wow factor here. like having 3/4 keyboards in 1 depending on how you set up note triggering. Also if you route the second instance to a second keyboard... Wow, your head might blow off!

Rabbit hole app for sure... How about a reverse affair, each note IN to a unique user definable chord OUT. Each note OUT to separate midi channel or at least AUM channel/track. I have a couple (Trackbout Ripchord, Cthulu) on macOS but haven't yet discovered one for IOS. Wonderful for a wind controller type person.

Won’t show up in AUM, GarageBand, or Cubasis for me...it’s like I never downloaded the app
@TheSoundTestRoom5 жыл бұрын
Murton Muffley In AUM you open a MIDI Track and you will see two options, look in Audio Unit MIDI Processor, it’s in there under AMS Software. In Cubasis you can’t apply this to an Audio Track, it has to be Midi, so open a MIDI Track, then look in MIDI Effects, it’s in there under AMS Software. It won’t work in GarageBand because it doesn’t support Midi Effects yet, hope this helps a bit.

Another weird/fun one: Feed 3 Polythemus outputs to three transposable sequencers (like SPA or Rozeta Cells) and point those at three different synths. As you play chords, the note transposing each sequencer will rotate. :brainexplode:

Route midi echo into polythemus?

or a sequencer or appegiator feeding midi in. This would create rhythmic switching at faster rates....

I like your videos, but they make terrible app reviews. Because you run it through all this other stuff. Its like reviewing a basic pickup, after you have painted it, jacked it up, put mud tires on it and a kick ass stereo. You are reviewing an app that wont sound like what you are reviewing without all the support apps added and set up the same way you have them. Often I dont even know what parts are the actual app or just some plugin/filter or whatever you added afterwords.

There is a simple solution. Just ask Doug to clear it up for you. That’s what the comments are best used for. Communication. And audio units are about using apps to work together to get what you want. If you only want great sounding presets then that’s another story. If I watch Doug create a great sound by mixing certain apps then I know it can be done so it inspires me to get the apps and try. Eventually you will learn to do so if you work at it.

Well, You have to find some other channel for reviews, cause this one is for intelligent people 😎
@macmoll5 жыл бұрын
The app he’s reviewing doesn’t make sounds on its own (it’s a Midi Auv3). It needs to work in tandem with other apps to produce sounds. So your point/comment is invalid.
@perrypelican94765 жыл бұрын
Tomek Paśko you must be a genius who never makes mistakes and loves making people feel bad. I will stick with the guy who isn’t perfect. If you are so smart you don’t need reviews.
