I have a triple coat male pom. When I bathe him, I do it in the jetted bath tub. I bring the wide tooth comb. After the shampoo I cover him in Sauve conditioner. I then fill the tub again with clean water and turn on the jets. I comb and comb him over and over under the water. I am able to get out 90% of the loose under coat. I have also used a sink. After I lather him in conditioner, I comb him under running water. I don't get out as much loose hair in the sink as I do in the bathtub. Yes, I do get in the tub with him. I wear old shorts and a t-shirt. I need a bath after that :)

Good idea. None of our poms like baths. My male pom like to swim. He takes flying leaps into the pool even when nobody is with him. He's come back soaking wet after letting him out to potty many times.

Hi, using the cone makes the air pressure too strong for a small dog. You can not put the cone close enough to the skin to fluff and remove undercoat without risk of hurting the dog. I have also found that most dogs are scared of the air pressure that comes out when using the cone. Using the wider opening of the hose still gives good air pressure and allows you to put that air right up against the skin, blowing the undercoat from the inside out.

how old is your pomeranian? so cute!! she/ he does look like my POM. my POm is 9 months old i kinda wonder if my pom will get more coats like other POM does? or it depends on you groom the POM?

Your Pom may not have his adult coat fully yet! He may still be in the puppy uglies stage. Give it until he’s 1 year old before you expect him to have his full adult coat.

slowly introduce the brush. give him a treat when he allows you to brush, one stroke at a time until he gets use to more strokes.

Nadeela Imran 2 too three times a after a week I would go in the tub & shower & sit down in front of them & giving kisses too calming them down & I smothered my Pomeranians with unconditional love & affection like they gave me

I bathe mine once a month. I'm afraid to dry my pom's skin out, so I use a spritz that has conditioner for her coat and deodorize the puppy smell. Whenever I spritz, I brush her fur during that time to keep her fur from matting.

My Pom loves taking baths. Just nice warm water. She gets 2 a day with no shampoo. I just rinse her twice a day cuz she gets so damn dirty outside.

Can you use a human hairdryer instead of the dryer used in the video?

jenn lynn yes but on the cool setting & not hot & not close to the skin or the face just on a low cool setting should be the safest way

I would have the Pomeranian laying down on the bed & then brush with a soft brush & tell your Pomeranian what your doing for her or him & I was really really gently with them & giving kisses to them if they felt hurt & this Pomeranian looks exactly like my baby girl Jillian Marie that just passed Away on the 20th of February 2018 I’m still really upset & saddened by her death
