A música tem como tema o rapto de Persephone (mito grego). Então devil = demônio = Hades. Hades, o senhor dos mortos/inferno (que, diferente do inferno cristão, não é meramente um lugar de punição, mas o lugar para o qual TODAS as almas vão. Mas tem subdivisões, as almas boas e ruins vão para lugares separados; enfim rs).

I love how Hades is presented in this song. "Yes, maa'am. No ma'am." He's so polite to Persephone. He definitely drank his respect women juice. Sure, Persephone also calls him "sir" but it's more in a cocky way. She knows she'll get what she wants. Thanks for the lyrics!

AAAA me da arrepios essa musica, INCRÍVEL!!!🌸🌸🌸 O começo da música deixa claro que o rapto foi inesperado e não foi desejado por Perséfone, e que Hades tinha intenções com ela, mas queria a conquistar ( passivo agressivo kk) e o final deixa em aberto se Pesephone realmente se apaixonou por ele + estava preocupada com a depressão da mãe (e é claro com sdds dela) OU que fez o acordo no desespero, sabendo que nunca escaparia dele mesmo que o negasse por séculos. O rapto de Perséfone sempre me deixou encucada sobre a relação desses 2, mesmo sendo o casal que menos aparece no meio de tretas da mitologia e que Hades nunca foi mostrado como alguém realmente ruim (pelo q eu vi e li). Eu me sinto agoniada em pensar sobre se o que romantizam tanto na mídia possa ser ou um casamento a força ou uma síndrome de Estocolmo. Mas oq me irrita é quando demonizam Deméter, que só queria proteger a filha dos deuses (que ja n tem bom histórico com mulheres e deusas da fertilidade) e que só agiu como qualquer mãe agiria se seu filho desaparecesse do nada. Queria muito acreditar que a relação de P+H é saudável e respeitosa 🌸 sempre gostei da história quando criança ;-;

yep ! Its the storyline basis of persephone and hades. Both of them mutually agreeing for: Hades: A queen to rule the other half of the underworld, a wife, and someone to possibly have children with. Persie/Kore: Agreeing to be his wife as long as she is seen as his equal (which is pretty much quite literally letting her rule an ENTIRE HALF of his realm, none of the other kings like Poseidon and Zeus even do that for their own wives..), and to have the right to left or enter the underworld whenever she pleases, or when she needs to do her duty. But of course the story always varies. Sometimes its Hades kidnapping her, or her being given to Hades by Zeus when Demeter did not want to have her married off, etc. So you can interoperate the way you would like to :) But I'd like to imagine that they both come to terms and act similar to that of a mutual agreement of an arranged marriage / arrangement done out of friendliness or even affection towards one-another, since I honestly think in my mind that Persephone just wanted to explore... catch is that she stepped in the wrong realm and found herself a man who was quite literally down-bad for her but also still playing his role of being the king of his realm since she *did* step in w/o a letter, request, etc. but in the end orchestrated a plan to marry him so that she'd have the freedom to explore the underworld and surface world whenever she'd like (and for zeus to fuck off + poseidon) Either way, love the story in several terms!

In the bridge: Kore, Kore, fauna and flora. The name Kore is used, which was the name for Persephone used at the Eleusinian Mysteries meaning "girl". The Eleusinia being the Ancient Greek festival centering Demeter, Persephone (Kore) and Hades (Pluton) and her return to Hades at the start of autumn in the Ancient Greek month of Metageitnion. :)

@@-_hina_-5338Funny fact; In the original myth, Kore was bored under Demeter’s rule/smothering so she wandered into the underworld herself and just kinda stayed and Hades was like “uhm okay yeah.” But Dear ol’ mummy lost her mind and yeah. That’s also why she’s called Persephone, because she caused so much destruction Zeus was like “Welp Kore(maiden) don’t fit u no more.” And changed it to Persephone, meaning chaos (I’m pretty sure that’s the translation.)
