Use melted butter between layers, better with garlic. Use that dinner plate as a paper measuring guide, easier. Great with fish and salad.

Are maris piper potatoes a fancy gourmet potato? Or are they like a normal potato in the UK? Like what’s the equivalent potato in North America.... like a yukon gold or some other yellow fleshed potato? It looks yellow fleshed on the video is it a type of yellow potato?

Just a normal potato in the UK, great for mashed potatoes, so Yukon gold would be ideal.

Hi Poppy. It's great to see another video from you, Congrats on the cook book, I can't wait, I already have it on pre ordeeer. Could you possibly do a video for the 15-hour potatoes? I tried them but they went really wrong. The duck fat solidified when I tried to coat the potato slices, the oil went all crazy and bubbly when I put them in and they fell apart even though I compressed them with the cans of sardines and got my dad to put his whole body weight on them. Thank you!!!
