Owned a 2000 SF Vtec 1 for 5 years. Such an awesome bike. If you want the look of that no-muffler bike with less noise (and more top end power), go for the Moriwaki GP one-piece pipe. Best decision I ever made, and the bike looked so sexy with that header. Great quality, too. Even my wife liked the way it looked and sounded.

+Ahmad Syahrin Nope, he just took of the muffler at the mid pipe, which you can do if there is a link pipe (its held by a bolt). Not sure if the exhaust is all in one on older models, his was a 2010 model

POMMEY BIKER I have 'crash and drop' tested several times and it's still in one piece. The crush washer is still going strong; it's completely black though. The allen bolts stay in perfectly and you don't need loctite on them. The anodized 'screaming demon' plate starts fading in about a month or so; I used to have it parked outside and had no cover for it. A few strangs of the baffling occasionally pokes through the pipe in the middle, but it's nothing to worry about. And as for it's current 'state' this is it here: fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/1510605_1578339679121180_1813750095309729625_n.jpg?oh=91bb2880b3701efe0c12d656b2dc6509&oe=560AE1BE&__gda__=1439216596_d285d7b7c22bf212ff3d3ed72aefb879

hi mate good vid. Did u have to tune the bikes after fitting the exhaust? i have a cb400 and looking to upgrade the exhaust.
@pommeybiker8 жыл бұрын
it has an ECU so slip-ons dont really need a tune unless you really want to spend the $$$ for a tune. If you have an older carbie model a tune is prolly worth it. If you add a full system you will need a tune. I tried a 4-1 configuration but lost power pretty much everywhere. The standard 4-2-1 is much better

Any tips on how to wheelie on cb400? I own one in singapore and I find it difficult to wheelie
@SpklJae8 жыл бұрын
+zhikangggg First gear, bring it up to ~30kmph, or just at the vtec line, pop the clutch, twist the throttle, ride it out. Start with small amounts of throttle, get used to bringing it up and down, slowly use more and more throttle, eventually learn to bring it up higher, and shift through the gears as you go. Try to keep your foot on the rear brake pedal, just in case you need to bring it down quickly you can tap the pedal. I'm able to start in 1st at 30, finish in 3rd at 100, and I still can't keep it steady at balance point, so it's got plenty more potential for shenanigans. Note that its harder to wheelie with a full tank, but helps keep it stable when figuring out how to balance it. Practice in a nice empty back street or something, have fun, and be safe!

Do you guys feel any different apart from the sound when the v-tech kicks? Does the bike pull stronger? I have the same bike with Yoshimura pipe but can't feel anything in my arms when the is v-tech kick.
@pommeybiker9 жыл бұрын
janos benyhe vtec for the cb400 pulls the strongest at 11,000 RPM, there should be a noticeable jolt between 5,000 and 11,000 rpm if you do a drag race type of start. All the exhaust perform roughly the same in terms of performance as everyone had the same header pipes. Because the mufflers are just slip ons all bikes did around 30kph in 3rd gear at 3000RPM, 40kph in 3rd gear at 4000RPM, 50kph in 3rd gear at 5000RPM, 60kph in 3rd gear at 6000RPM and so on and so on. Sometimes it just doesnt feel very strong because your used to the power, but other reasons might be that the bike needs servicing or has something wrong with it. 1st gear is kind of weak. I feel the vtec pull the best in second gear.
@pommeybiker9 жыл бұрын
Second gear is good because you can get into the vtec and not break the speed limit
