Many thanks. I was also very eager to try this yeast along with such a recipe. I am really happy with the results. I have a Pale ale recipe of my own that was written for this yeast that comes next 🍻🍻🍻

This is a another great video and clear recipe. Thanks for sharing! Question, do you dry hop in primary? In my experience I have noticed that if I do that method, my hop flavor when a pressure transfer to a keg decreases. Any tips to avoid this? Should I a dry hop on secondary or just keg hop?
@DavidHeathHomebrew5 ай бұрын
Thank you. Dry hopping is something I usually do in primary because seldom do I feel the need for secondary these days. But when I first started in was normal to use secondary for all beers. If I want a more powerful dry hop then I dry hop in both the fermenter and the keg. Doing in just the keg is more of a slow release style.

In the Brewfather Recipe it says ‘5 days dry hop’. Is it meant to leave the hops in the fermenter for 5 days or dry hop on day 5? I thought it wasn’t recommend to leave the hops in to long. 🤷🏼♂️🤔 I got my hands on this yeast now so I am looking forward to try this recipe! 🤩
@DavidHeathHomebrew3 ай бұрын
Great 🍻🍻🍻 All timings in brewing are for remaining time. So dry hopping is within the last 5 days. I suggest adding as you are close to final gravity by 1-5 points if possible.

Hi David, thanks again for another qaulity video. I would love to attempt this one soon, where would i find this recipe? I usually find them on brewfather?
@DavidHeathHomebrew4 ай бұрын
Thank you. You can find the recipe in full in this videos description, which is between the video window and comments section. There is also a link to the recipe on Brewfather there too. Check out my new Pomona recipe too here:- kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHuoo2CBgZ6ni8Usi=GK1igfKHWS5DBviS

Thank you for the video i enjoyed it. Without dry hopping how long is usually to long for a beer to be left in a fermenter? Today i discovered that the yeast i gues? Left on the top that is sticking onto the wall of the fermenter was of dark color from light yeast color to some parts black... Was my beer now contaminated?
@kingquesoIV5 ай бұрын
If you are using a stainless steel fermenter than this discoloration of the yeast is very normal. I dont know the exact reaction that is taking place but it has happened on every beer ive made in a stainless fermenter.
@DavidHeathHomebrew5 ай бұрын
This is normal and of no concern. The sludge is oxidised hop proteins that often appear as a dark brown/black sediment on the sides of the fermenter.

Hi John, I do mention in the video that I provide the recipe in full in the videos description area. This provides details of the recipe in both metric and imperial as well as the recipe in Brewfather, which can be used free of charge and shows the aa% of the hops I used. The problem is that if you do not use software to calculate the IBU using the aa% of your own hops then this will imbalance the recipe. I also mention in my video a guide video where I show how to do this. This is all done to ensure the best end result.
