The architect Richard Rogers, who designed the Pompidou in Paris and London’s Millennium Dome, has "passed away quietly" at the age of 88, a spokesman has said.
Lord Rogers was regarded as one of the world's most successful and influential architects, also designing the Pompidou in Paris, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, the Welsh Parliament's Senedd building, Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, and 3 World Trade Center in New York.
He won most of his industry's major honours and was knighted in 1991.

Can't say I was a fan of his inside out architectural style. But you can't fault him for his innovative thinking and drive.... RIP and CONDOLENCES to his Family... Losing someone this close to Christmas is hard with emotions already being hieghtened as holidays will do, here's hoping your Memories of past Chrismases with him will help carry you thru these darkened days into a brighter New Year.

When completed and opened up in 1977, we were second year architectural students. We've seen a lot but nothing like this. Since then, I've visited Paris many times and I'm still in awe and bewildered by this modern art gallery, and most modern building. RIP genius!

I really liked the Pompidou centre when I lived near there as a child. It was still strange and hilarious in 1987

Who has died or who died....I was /is a great fan of Team 4 during and after my student years. Very much missed. I wonder why he left his parent;s house to Harvard & not Yale (his alma mater)?

The building is unusual as an exhibition. It's kind of awareness for how the animated building is working. The inside viens as he resembled or pipes in translation in building language. You can see. How the creature is working. The revolution idea of challenging the exited classics around. On the other hand, as an architecture personally I don't like to be comman! As an style. But as an exception exhibition. One of its kind.

Rogers should be a role model for contemporary architects. But unfortunately architecture in the past few years has been reduced to some stupid regionalism of wood or stone clad shacks that aren't even regional.

*ABC's of Salvation* *A* - Admit you're a sinner in need of a Saviour (Romans 3:10, 6:23) *B* - Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins (1Corinthians 15:3-4) *C* - Call upon the Name of the Lord and be saved (Romans 10:9-10, 10:13) Believe what Jesus Christ did for you on the cross and be saved. As Paul said in the book of *Ephesians 2:8-9* - _For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast._ *BELIEVE & BE SAVED* How sin entered the world? - Genesis 2 & 3!

Rest in piece. You went to the grave having never once desighed a building which looked like it was finished. Maybe they can bury his tombstone and leave his casket on the surface. To give his grave that inside out look.
