I just love the suspension of disbelief that for one second, Quiet's bolt action sniper rifle becomes a FULL AUTO rifle for this single time so she can shoot the HBD for snake.

I first saw this cutscene last spring on my 20th birthday. I was away at college and had absolutely zero friends, besides my parents the only person who has wished me a happy birthday was a delivery person dropping off a cake that my parents got for me. I was actually in a pretty dark place until I decided to start up MGSV to see the birthday cutscene and no joke, I starting crying. Even if nobody else wished me a happy birthday at least the funny old men in my computer did lmao. Loved seeing Pomu play through this game!

My first time seeing this was after a very unhappy birthday. A birthday that wasn't necessary terrible but the joy of it all was gone and I missed it and I was depressed. I wanted to play some metal gear. Then I saw this and almost cried. A year later I became a private guard part time. I was allowed to use a plate carrier. Did you know that this cutscene changes based on who you currently have on mother base?. This includes main characters too so if you met everyone in the game and got them through the story they will also show up to the birthday. For me Emerik was there as well but Code talker wasn't present at the time. Fairly sure I seen Eli shown up on at least someone's birthday on one of the many KZbin videos for this scene.
