Ponce de Leon Springs and the Fountain of Youth

We travel to Ponce de Leon Springs in Ponce de Leon, Florida. Is this place really the "Fountain of Youth?" Could be. I certainly felt 10 years younger after swimming there!

When you asked why do the gators stay in the murky, dirty water, this came to mind. The Living waters of a spring are healthy, clear and light shines forth through them. The stagnant, dirty waters are full of predators and things that lurk in the dark. This is a great example of choosing to live in the light of the Gospel of Christ. It is a blessing! Hallelujah!!!

Gators thermal regulate. If the water is too cold they can always regulate body temp. Down south by us the water is very clear and gators are everywhere

I remember when I was about 12 yrs old we were there, but to work in the fields. Back in the late 70's. And only the day our dad would take my mom and us to the beach after a hard week of working in the sun. But not always. We would go.

Wow! I didn't know they still had Stuckey's down south! My family and I would eat there every time we went down south to visit relatives. Brings back good childhood memories! Stuckey's! There was one on I-70 in Illinois headed west. While our parents finished eating we were in the gift shop! Rubber arrowheads, plastic dinosaurs, bike license plates with every name but yours...

We're going to be 108 in the shade on Monday, having 4 days in a row in the 100s! Won't be going anywhere those days. Will be in the 90s up until the 19th and from then on throughout August we should be mostly in the high 80s. I pay attention to the weather because I'm 76 and the high heat affects me pretty bad! Great to see that cool clear spring water, Pastor! Thanks for the excursion!

I grew up in DeFuniak, about 10 miles west. We would occasionally visit the spring. My parents owned the Red & White grocery store in Ponce de Leon in the late 50’s. It burned down. There was an artesian well out front of the grocery store with cold water springing up with a 2 inch core, constantly.

Pastor Breaker, Thank you for sharing this. Something i wanted to mention. I have been Praying so long for my wife and I, that the Lord would Bless us with a car. We have been without one for over 2-3+ years now. Now that we are both near 60 years old, walking long distances isn't as easy as it once was. Anyway, as i was saying, we have been Praying for so so long. When you went into Sterkies, and filming the car plates that mentioned Jesus and Praying, one of those tags hit me hard. You see, my mom went to be with the Lord last year. The Van she drove year's ago had the very same kind of plate that you filmed (🙏🏻PRAYER CHANGES THINGS). It warmed my Heart seeing that. I miss my Mom so much. Thank you Pastor Breaker. I was wondering, would you please Pray for me and my wife, that we would somehow be able to get a car. My wife and I are just getting tired. Spiritual Warfare seems to be getting worse every day. Even still, Blessed be the name of the Lord. God is good. I Look forward to hearing that Trumpet sound. We’re pretty sure these GMO mosquitos have made their way to Tennessee too. This summer, there are mosquitos that are smaller than the natural ones and that don’t make the whining noise of natural mosquitos. They also aren’t repelled by citronella like natural ones either so you have to resort to toxic sprays to keep them off of you. Very disturbing.

I always thought the cold or cooler water kept the alligators out of the springs but I guess I’m wrong. We have gone to Alexander Springs, Florida many times but in June they had an alligator attack on a snorkeler and have closed the swimming area. Bummer
