So beautiful and romantic. This song played a big part of my life - in 1974 at college, I watched Johnny Carson whose guest was Beverly Sills. I had NO interest in opera, but she sang Estrellita and I was completely won over, and became a huge fan of opera and classical music.

Nathan Meltzer Nathan, you are an extraordinary talent. I hope you have a major international career! (The back story on the Sills video is that she had recently recovered from ovarian cancer surgery, and hadn’t planned to sing in this show, only talk with Carson. She was in too much pain to rehearse, and at the last moment told the guitarist that they would just improvise the performance. Amazing!)

Nathan, as always your playing is incredible! And your vibrato continues to mature. You really are the only young violinist I've heard who truly has the finger vibrato sound of the great 20th century masters. And yet your playing is very modern at the same time. Brilliant. Obviously it's not quite to a "real" performance level, but for only five days of practice, I feel I did at least a halfway decent job:) Thanks for watching, and yeah, my playing is far more comfortable now than it's been in a long time! I plan to post some Bach soon, and possible the Kreisler Scherzo and Recitative which I've been learning on and off for a while now. Take care!
