Hi. I'm looking at getting this model. What's the noise level like as I had a biomaster 850 and it was too loud for the lounge. They do sell it now In the UK but expensive. Around £650. Thanks.

Hi the £650 shops are currently selling it at is including import duty & their mark up (approx £100) which is why the price is so high, the noise level is virtually none existent, much quieter than the biomaster/biotherm & so far not drew air in once which the biomaster filters do frequently for some reason, the flow rate is also much better than the Oase filters but the 1 plug for everything is definitely the best, as I say in video I had the 850, 350, the 2 heaters & an inkbird so it didn't favour 1 heater over the other, now I have 1 plug instead of 5... this is the best filter I've had by a country mile, the prefilter sponge is also much easier to deal with, getting the 850 one out was sometimes a real pain as you need almost 2ft of clearance!!

@@PeterKnopp-h8n 2.4 like most things WiFi controlled, instructions are virtually none existent too which if anything would be my biggest complaint but if you are tech savvy in the slightest it will be simple to connect as filter has network and Bluetooth capabilities

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the hypermax link has the biggest pump of any currently available external filter & it shows, I have mine running at 75% and the flow rate is incredible, before this filter I had a biotherm 850 and 350 running side by side and the hypermax is probably 10x more powerful than those just on 75% speed, I actually thought it might be too much flow for my discus but they seem to handle it ok. For me the noise or lack of it is the best part, flow rate is incredible but even set on max all you get is a low humming noise, lower you set the pump speed the quieter it gets but you can't set it lower than 50% so if you don't want fast flow rates then it's not the best choice but I can't see why you wouldn't unless you have like 2 betta in a huge tank

@@mieczysawolejnik591 heat was my biggest concern, with the Oase Biotherm I had a 400w & 200w heater running side by side with an Inkbird controller, I'm also old school so always went by 1w per litre, the hypermax is keeping constant balanced heat with 2x 150w heaters, as I have a planted discus aquarium I keep it at a constant 28°C
