There is a nation of great videos on Gideon's channel showing various venturis in action.....and they're way better than my awful videos, lol
Having a venturi which delivers great dissolved oxygen content is very important and the design of the Grow Greenie venturis is excellent since it works on a multi-venturi principle - that results in a better dissolved oxygen content compared to standard venturis and air pumps / air stones.
Imagine how much difference that will make to fish which require good oxygen levels.....or fish which are recuperating after being ill....oxygen is life and the more oxygen the fish can assimilate the quicker the recovery will be.
I have no financial interest in Green Genie and I'm not paid to make videos - in fact I never have accepted a penny in payment for making videos as I believe it is important to be impartial.
However, I may look to distribute these venturis in the UK if that helps Gideon out in the future.
You won't see crap products on my channel unless it is some abomination of a canister filter sent by a viewer as part of my 'Pimp My Filter' series of videos....I'm looking at you Eheim Pro 4 and Pro 5.....and that mess that is the Boyu 05 filter........son's o' bitches.....
....maybe I have reached the age when I don't care what companies think of me?

I love your videos, as I am trying to learn as much as I can from you and others. How is the massive filters coming along? I have seen videos with a bog filters setup which produces clean water for their ponds, what’s your take on it?

That's some power there even for such a small pump. I can't see the electrical cable on it but must be as you said your going to turn in on surely u could also turn into a filter with the pvc tube

I have an outlet from my pump fed external filter into my raised pond, would something like this connect to it to provide loads of oxygen? Looks great, I’d buy one for sure but tax and shipping puts me off from the US.

(my other account) The import duty and taxes are mad due to whatever passes for our govern-ment (to control movement of - movement / mind) wanting to shaft every living man and woman for every penny they earn. I'm hoping to agree something with Gideon from Grow Greenie with regard to a UK / EU distributorship so hang tight brother. The venturi will connect to any 2" or 1.5" solvent pipe with a step down collar so it's no problem for the vast majority of systems. A simple solvent hose tail will even allow it to be connected to a flexible pipe too.

Technically this just adds a bubbleplate to a normal venturi (still with an inefficient venturi design from a pressure difference perspective) . The bubbles stay rather large so the contact time won't be that much higher than with a normal venturi. Placing a venturi on the intake side of the pump (so just before the impeller not after the impeller) would probably give a similar result as the impeller would chop up th bubbles just like this buubleplate. Replacing the standard impeller with something like a needlewheel (what is used in skimmers for marine aquariums) with the air intake on the intakeside would have a greater impact as that would create much smaller bubbles increasing contact time.
