The more aquascape videos I watch, the more I like the subtle, low volume, low sound features. Low falls, meandering streams, no pond, bubbling boulders, sheet falls, weeping walls....way more relaxing and natural looking. Great job Joann 😉

I've been watching about five companies, including Greg Wittstock's channel, for the past two years and out of all the water features I have seen, this is the one I sent to my CAC to show him what I loved for my project. In the end, my CAC talked to me about a pond and I chose that because deep down it's really what I really wanted. But I am still getting a long stream to go with it, just like this one. So thank you for this project and the inspiration it gave me!

I really like the degree of control from a phone. I'd love to tune the sound of my waterfall to be a bit more subtle and maybe I might retrofit a controllable pump at a later date. The small drops, the wider channels and pooling areas are amazing; you really knocked it out of the park.

Thank you for sharing the demensions! My yard is only 25 feet deep and 60 feet wide. But the easement takes up 8 of my 25 feet. Seeing this gives me hope that I can enjoy an Aquascape water feature...provided I don’t attract snakes.. LOL
@thelegend26753 жыл бұрын
Absolutely beautiful pondless !! I believe anyone who is even remotely considering a water feature should start out with a pondless. It makes such a big impact on a small space and requires little maintenance. The backyard looked to be in bad shape in the beginning but wow what a transformation. One thing I would really encourage you Jaak and the rest of the team is to incorporate the customer experience in the end of the video more. This video here is a great example. I truly enjoy hearing what the customer has to say, their experience, and the reason behind their decision for a water feature. Believe it or not I enjoy all of these segments equally. As always Jaak, and to the rest of the Atlantis team, you guys are rockstars !! Can't wait for the Aqualand final unveiling video !!

Was going to say that sounds pretty loud for a babbling brook, barely could think with that noise in the background, but then she showed that she can control the water flow with an app to make it go much quieter, I'm guessing it's a DC pump powering the whole thing and I instantly fell in love with the idea.
@carlmason80333 жыл бұрын
This might be a stupid question, or might have been asked already.... Do you need some sort of overflow encase of heavy rain when using these aqua blocks? I'm thinking of doing a similar project here in the UK and of course we get alot of rain :)

Do you have a DIY video tutorial? Personally, I'm trying to learn to create a stream like this in my backyard. But I didn't know if you had something along the lines of a home owner DIY from start to finish. Like what pump to buy per the size of the project, estimate of how many rocks, how to dig a pond properly, etc. I would love something like that.
@antomano5623 Жыл бұрын
You LIED!!! You said it wasn't gonna be loud, it is and I love it. Turned out great for a small area to work with. The only thing that I would have done differently would be the fire pit area by using concrete or pavers.

It is gorgeous. I want one like that but sadly am in the UK, not USA. May be I could build it myself. It can go on my failed small veg bed right by the paved area which already has outdoor light and has an outside water tap right by it by the second garage. I have this vision in my head of when i was a child in remote moorland where there were only sheep for miles and it was a sunny day (those are quite rare in the UK) and beside me was a little brook/stream just like this in the rare hot sun. That is what I want (but without the sheep....)

Beautiful work and what a great client to interview! The rock work is great as usual but one touch that I'd like to see enhanced on water features in general is a little more variation in the shape of the stream bed itself. For example in the large pool as the stream starts to turn left, rather than a flat bed of gravel (which you never see in nature on a bend), I think a small scour pool below the falls then a deeper channel on the outside with larger cobble, and a point bar using smaller cobble on the inside would be a nice subtle addition which wouldn't take much more time. All the best.
