A reason why Order 66 was successful was because how sudden it was, because the Clones was being mind controlled by Inhibitor Chips, there was no real malice or emotion in their actions to be sensed by Jedi Many Jedi couldn’t see the attack coming and were backstabbed, others that survived the first few moments were overwhelmed Krell turned to the Dark Side and was able to see the future, he was trying to sabotage the Republic and try join the Sith, might have been an Inquisitor had he survived He might have knew Order 66 was coming and tried to survive by Joining the Sith Had he remained a Jedi, his prejudices may still have him close to the Dark Side, but he’ll still might be backstabbed at Order 66

This ARC is so important for the clones latter actions during Order 66. I think if Jesse didn't have to endure Umbara, he would've actually considered listening to Rex, even with the chip active. While Rex was naturally also affected by the Inhibitor, he chose to fight the effects, thus helping Ahsoka do something about it and buying her time. Jesse didn't question anything, because he also believed in his heart that the jedi were capable of betrayal, and because he was so deathly afraid of a second Umbara.

Krell was the extreme outcome of what the Jedi were becoming in their ignorance during a time of war. His vision was right on, but he too was ignorant as he was not powerful enough to see that it was Palpatine and the clones, not Dooku who would rise.

Same. There was so so SO much violence. Savage decapitating a whole room of unarmed diplomats....ventress kissing a clone she impaled on her lightsaber. The sheer amount of lightsaber impaling! Or when savage gored Obi Wan's jedi friend and you could see the stab marks on her torso for a split second...like damn, it's gnarly but equally epic. I need to rewatch TCW now

This is a good demonstration of why it was so important that the clones caught the Jedi off guard in Order 66. A Jedi was worth 1000 battle droids, which means they were worth at least a hundred clone troopers.

Imagine if Anakin heard about this before the clones went after Krell. That could have been an awesome Vader moment; Anakin chasing Krell through the dark jungle and beating him down. Krell being terrified as Anakin slices off his arms and then beheads him. None of the clones would question Anakin's decision, and they would interpret his rage as his love toward them rather than him being pulled to the dark side.

If there's one battle I'll never forget watching as a kid it's this one. The abilities of the clones against krell as a group was awesome. I always thought you had to be lucky to beat a Jedi or sith without the force. These guys showed me otherwise. And since then the clones weren't expendable, not to me. Also makes sense how they bodied the temple, even with Vader.

there are hundreds of years of history in Star Wars where regular soldiers had no choice but to fight armies of force users. Specifically the old republic era was filled with Anti-Force Wielder weapons so we've seen lots of different examples of how normal people could overcome Jedi with the right tools. A jedi can block blaster bolts, but there's no hope for a Jedi against a flamethrower or scatter blaster, they would have no choice but to run away. As soon as someone gets close enough with one of those weapons, that Jedi is fucked. In the old wars, 3 republic troopers was more than enough to kill a Sith Warrior.

Not to mention he seems to be a MUCH better fighter than most masters even. His physiology (size, strength and four arms) allowed for a unique fighter with a lot of carnage he could unleash. Not to mention his very powerful force mastery, with foreseeing order 66 and all. He's a very powerful opponent to say the least.

It bears mentioning that most of the skilled Jedi fighters were...well, out fighting the war. It was mostly padawans, Jedi with more of a bend towards teaching and study, and the Jedi sentinels that were at the Jedi Temple. The Jedi Mace Windu brought with him to confront Palpatine were probably the strongest Jedi they had at the temple at the time. Not to say that they weren't strong, despite Palpatine cutting them down.
