Here's a game called "Return": Service changes every turn. Only the player returning the serve can win a point which must happen on the service return. If they miss, nothing is scored. If they return it, the point depends entirely upon whether the server can return the return. So no point is longer than 3 shots. It is all about attacking the service hard but not so hard that you are failing to return it too often.

Dear Pongfinity, I think you are the right people for this world-changing idea. But first of all, lets talk business. I would be happy with a 1% share of all profits. Or wait, let's say 1% and a free trial game once it goes into production. Deal? Ok, so my game idea (that I just had) is based on a tilted ping pong table half. You have to paint a circle in front of this half (or spray, in the sun on the grass, or furrow, in the sand). Everyone plays with a table tennis bat and the goal is, similar to squash (but not against the wall), to hit the ball on the table tennis table so that the opponent does not manage to get the ball before it touches the ground. However, the ball must not fall into the circle in front of the plate, but must be hit with appropriate speed. We do not need a net and the players are allowed to move freely but must not intentionally obstruct each other. The tilting of the plate and the size of the circle still need to be determined for a smooth game. I have thought that later it must not be a ping pong table (too big, too heavy etc.) but something lighter perhaps to fold. I imagine that you could play it also well on the beach or on the meadow. If you want to try it out I would be happy. greetings from rainy cologne
