I honestly miss the early alpha days of this game, right around when they introduced sleeper zombies in the building spawns. Pretty much before they started neutering the mechanics, like making skill levels purchasable instead of use to level. Or removing gun parts entirely, for a spawn based system. The graphics were excusable, because the game play was great. The online multiplayer was amazing. Lots of really memorable deaths/kills/raids/defenses.

@ULTRAOutdoorsman I suppose that's a matter of opinion. I have nothing but fond memories of that era. Game play loop was satisfying. I played on a server that would wipe every few months, so we had a ton of chances for fresh starts. No minibikes either, all travel was on foot. Finding a new town was a thrill, especially if the loot had already been rolled. Didn't know if someone was watching, or waiting to jump you. Was also a ton more forgiving than Ark, in a sense that your character physically logged out of the game. You could store some invaluable things on your person, so if you got raided, you'd be able to set back up easier. Instead of waking up handcuffed naked in a cell.

One of my favorite moments is still getting spawned next to the farm with my friends and making a camp out of a building nearby. On our 2nd day of barricading and exploring, one of my friends somehow got full chased by a bear and led it into our house. It has been 8 years and we still roast him about it.

the new update or turn to beta i swear made the game worse. Still looks the same and honestly doesnt feel any different then it was in the last 3 years. It just loads longer then it ever did and put in new clothes which add fuck all honestly and dont make the game better. the new character models are lame af aint nobody cared about NPC's being put in. and no new guns like jesus its the only damn thing that makes me want to grind. I guess i had higher expectations for a game sitting in alpha for 10 plus years.

Sadly I know the guy that made this game because he lives in the same town as me. He did this to his last game called Gore. He screwed over people on Kickstarter (for 7 Days to Die). The guy is a scum bag that had all different businesses here in this town. All of them never last. Computer repair and sign shop. Being a slum lord and renting out crap houses. Most of this old websites for his old businesses are still online.

A huge issue with this games development is that the devs keep going around in circles and never choosing on how they want the game to be. It went from a survival grindy RPG to Arcade like multiple times. Also if you even try to talk about it the white knights/circle jerk toxic positivity crew will defend the devs.
