Hi Ryu, I don't know if you know this technique (I think you do, but just in case you don't...), but I suggest it instead of the one you're using to create a smooth transition when mirroring on the Y-axis (in 8:10) - Instead of shifting your solid to create an empty space between it and the Y-axis, don't move it. - Select the curve positioned on the Y-axis. - Then press E to extrude it along the Y-axis towards the side where you want to create the symmetry. The extrusion creates a solid that will enable a perfect transition and symmetry. - Delete the curve on the Y-axis (we don't need it anymore). - Select the same curve but now on the solid and the curve you want to connect with the Loft option. Choose G1 or G2 for the curve on the Y-axis. - Apply the symmetry. And that's it! However, the effect you achieve using your technique is really cool ! 🙂 I thought it might be useful to suggest mine for everyone 😉 Really great tutorial ! 👏

Just a free hint while you are a shortcut freak: if you select an edge and want to fillet or chamfer it, instead of pick the handle and move back or forward, you can press B and D for bevel and B and C for chamfer.

I have the 1.4 indie license, Do you think investing in studio version with Xnurbs worth it?
@PonteRyuurui7 ай бұрын
yes, xnurbs are insane, and even though you can do most of the surfacing with lofting and patching, neither of these tools can touch what xnurbs can do in terms of speed and also the math behind it
@cascadiadesign7 ай бұрын
Absolutely! If surfacing is part of your workflow then XNurbs is a must to have.

Thank you for the video demo. I recently upgraded from the indie license to the pro version. I mainly wanted access to the new tools specifically for x-Nurbs. Unfortunately I’m really struggling with the use of this tool. Could you please do a video on the use of xnurbs? Much appreciated.

once they finish developing plasticity itll be really nice. too many functions/menus changing around atm. watching videos from even 6 months ago are normally outdated and produce different results than they did at the time of recording.
