what an amazing video, 100% true, i started blender 8 months ago, focused almost on nothing else, did exactly what just said and now the only three things I still have to learn r geo/simulation-nodes, realistic hair/fur and embergen in combination with blender, than im basically good to go to do my own movies! thx a lot for ur work and thx for teaching me box cutter and hard ops!

I love your motivational videos. They get 100 percent to the point. It helps a lot not to get lost on the way of studying 3D

So true and I´ve fallen into that trap time and time again. I dont want to do things that makes me frustrated but when you push through I have most of the time learned from it no matter the result. Great vid.

Little late but, I also love your vids, the paid blender bros and the motivation videos. Plus it's a good thing you mention learning everything at once. Because If you try to learn you get burnt out and be overwhelmed of information. For me, I like to work at my own pace, do what I am good at, see I and make my project better , work one thing at a time to not get burnt out, and have fun with it. 😊

So in the last few days i really wanted to get good at hard surface models especially the style/things you guys are doing and like the thing is i know all the tools i have addons and stuff but when i try to make something it just looks kind of bad tbf till now i only tried modeling 2 things that i ended up deleting. My question now is should i try actually finishing an project that i started or do the thing ive been doing, so starting something not being happy about it and starting something new and obv try to be better. Also im not like beginner at blender but ive mainly specialized in organic/abstract modeling

Think what you wanna model, grab tons of refs, find visual hooks, dish a blockout and build upon it. the rest is practice. Also immersion is the key. I'd grab our academy 2.0 program, DM me on discord if interested.

I wanted to express my gratitude for your fantastic videos - I genuinely enjoy and learn a great deal from your content. I have a small request that would immensely benefit not only me but also your many fans who aspire to improve their workflow. Would you consider creating a video focused on finger placement techniques for keyboard use? I've been working diligently to enhance my efficiency, and I'm eager to understand how you position your hands on the keyboard and the techniques you employ to expedite tasks. Your insights would be invaluable. I eagerly await your response and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for everything you do.

Thanks mate. It is simple, keep all the shortcuits to the left of your keyboard so your hand movements are minimal. Also, program the mouse and you're good.

Yeah, I definitely made the mistake of trying to learn too many things at once and in doing so, didn't achieve enough proficiency in any of those things... I think this where a lot of online instruction goes wrong when it comes to 3D. It takes people through an entire process from start to finish, when instead it should just introduce a handful of techniques and tools and limit the user to use nothing but those tools for an extended period of time so that they can properly master them. Then and only then, do you move onto the next set of tools/techniques. This is kind of like how things are introduced to a player in a well made video game... each level introduces only a handful of mechanics, then the player must demonstrate they have a full understanding of how to best use them, with challenges the game provides for the player, that they must overcome before they proceed to the next level. If i were to set up some kind of online school, to teach anything that is high skill based, it would be set up with that philosophy of learning.

One suggestion Ponte. Ask your editor to remove all these useless sound effects in the video. It's really annoying and hard to follow your great contents 😅
