Thank you ! The vanilla tutorials are very interesting because they allow you to understand how things work, instead of everything being managed by addons

Coming from a sea of fast-paced (almost timelapse) tutorials with a headache. This is such a relief and your tone kept me so calm and focused. Managed to complete it 1/1 as you were very clear and patient. Endless thank you.

Just a tip. The shade by angle option in blender 4 works by turning on smooth shading and then creating sharp edges (as you saw in edit mode). By removing those sharp edges, you've basically done the same as clicking shade smooth rather than smooth by angle. The new approach in Blender 4 is to add a smooth by angle modifier for interactive smoothing updates. Then you can either enable the 'ignore sharpness' option on the modifier, or click shade smooth in the context menu. This will give you the same behaviour as clicking shade auto smooth in the context menu of earlier versions of blender. Shade by angle should only be used once you've finished modelling, and only if you weren't using a smooth by angle modifier (if you were then it's more likely you'll want to apply the modifier to create the sharp edges instead). I think the smooth by angle option is pretty pointless, because generally you want the smoothing to update as you model. I think they should add two options: Smooth and create sharp edges, and smooth by angle modifier (continuous update)

Great info, was a bit confused on how it works and I was worried if Shade Smooth was enough haha. Model looks great at the end :)

sorry if i write alot of comments : thanks again, by a techniques of just this tutorial, ur precise education with ur deep comfortable voice 😄and understanding the first six lessons of Blender Bros's free courses for beginners on the website: I've made the best topology and geometry without any mistake, even without any one deformable Vertice, edge, or bevel. i made hard animation tutorials with my own editing and adding but the modeling and geometry are shits 😄since i've been began learning Design world and 3D through 6 months ago : i couldn't never modeling a Pure Hard Surface Modeling like that by this tutorial ! it's like you and everyone in Blender Bros opens the pro gates and magical tools, then it depends on how i can use these pro magical tools for my own creativity ideas to creating my own projects and models and what i want. also it's nice because i know some English hehe, i'll never forget this free favor from you and everyone in Blender Bros, meet you soon great teacher and Blender Bros in Discord and if i sucked in smoothing cuz i like trying over and over, i'll ask you, thanks for your humble and generosity, have a great wonderful day and life always and everyone in Blender Bros🧡

Wow I am speechless even with this video, you have really some unique methods to generate same results where other beginner tutorials would be drawn in boolean cuts while doing the same tutorial. I am definitely choosing your tutorials from now on for learning. Others' look filled with outdated information, well as a beginner what would I know, but it feels this way.

I don’t know who is watching this, 82 thousand subscribers and no one said that this kind of modeling is not a hard surface, it’s the wrong modeling, with the wrong topology, no one needs it. This is not a model, it's garbage. Why do you teach something that will never be useful to anyone? In reality, the customer will force such a model to be remade from scratch, because the topology is incorrect, it was not made for a subdivision, in fact, this is not hardsurface modeling, but creating concepts at random. Such models can only be used for rendering as art, but not for games or sale. Upload such a model to any stock and it will not pass moderation.

Who the heck implanted in your head that Hardsurface = Subdivision and quad topology? a mesh like this is production ready after applying the triangulating and baking the textures, and only people who actually work in the industry wouldn't go like: OoH It's nOt QuaadDs.

@@foshizzlfizzlbro are you for real? Like I use blender only And even when I see 3dmax or maya user i know exactly what they are doing. Multi cut in maya is knife in blender Bevel , chamber , extrude , mirror , duplicate are all same except the shortcut In maya it's ctrl + e for extrude in blender it's just E. And ctrl + b for bevel in maya and only B in blender Even by seeing what is happening to the mesh you can say what they are doing. So i would say you don't have any knowledge about maya or 3ds max if you can't even recognise what he is doing in another software

@@ChillieGaming Hey. It's not about that I can't follow him, what he is doing. But the extra info he is talking about, he uses Blender specific terms and makes stuff, you have in Blender that you never heard of before and he's not explaining it. So you definitely have to make real beginner tuts to know what he is talking about.

@@foshizzlfizzl Everything shown in this tutorial are in maya/max but with different names. the most complex thing he ever did in this tutorial are merging vertices which is already there in maya/max - Edit Mesh > Merge > . From the Vertex Marking Menu, select Merge Vertices > Merge Vertices and he is using vertices to convert them to curve. you can do the same in maya/max using curve tools. also after doing boolean cut he is just adding bevels to the part where there is boolean. Tell me timestamp which part you didnt understand.
