Thanks so much. My Aunt and her brother, my uncle, each had one. My aunt's was this color, though I seem to remember the seats being green leather. My uncle's was a butterscotch color. They were quite glamorous, except for the hum of the straight eight.

Thank you. I enjoyed this. When I was a child an Aunt who was close to me owned one of these with a yellow finish and white roof. I remember the distinctive sound of the exhaust and smell of the leather interior. As well, I recall the big steering wheel and how the three posts of it seemed to use gravity to keep the car going straight ahead. I was fascinated with the amber jewel Chief's head and wished I could see it light up. I seem to recall that my Aunt didn't like it lit so she had it unplugged.

@mayonpi Thanks for your comments on the Catalina. You are correct...in 1953 you could get this Pontiac in any combination of these factory colors...which were called Laurel Green and Milano Ivory. I do see a lot of photos online of the car in either of the color combinations. The hood ornament attracts a lot of attention when I take the car to a show. It gets lots of smiles when I turn it on ! Always great to hear from folks who have had experiences with this Pontiac. Thanks again.

@dougs63riv Thanks for your message. I am glad you like the car. Yes, the red pinstripe is not an original feature, but I thought it sort of dressed it up a bit, too. Jim
