Nice update! Fyi, you will have a slight issue with the meth bleeding back through the pump. I recommend purging the system if your controller has the option to purge right before you go wot. Or you can start spraying meth earlier to fill the line. Meth tends to bleed back more in the warmer months. And yes, plastic line doesnt work well when you use 100% meth, or anything over 50% meth. I saw the same issue with the plastic line that my Snow meth kit came with. I ended up doing stainless braided lines and haven't had an issue since.

@@J2GXP I use the Snow Performance VC-50 controller, which allows you to purge the system. And it's also a boost gauge.

@@J2GXP into the intake. I typically purge it at a constant engine speed and it does fine. However, I dont use a large amount of meth. My afr will go 1 point richer for 3 seconds when I purge it

I'd be interested to see how that 295 fits up front. I plan on autocrossing my car next year once I get all my aero done on the car this winter. plan on getting new tires and rims this winter as well. keep up the videos like to see how the car dose.

Justin Pluim Thank you buddy, yeah I want to try and run a similar tire size as the Zl1 1le or the z28. It really helps at the track with heavy cars like the g8. So I’ll try and fit 295 and start from there. I would Be interested to check out your setup for the track any vids or photos?

@@J2GXP Id be cool to see a 305 up front but that might be tight. I don't have any videos yet but i have some photos on my instagram(if you have one) @triple6gxp. I plan on doing a custom front lip, side skirts and rear diffuser. and i will be doing a rear wing as well. The mod list is quite extensive to say the least. Also have a couple videos up on my facebook.

Justin Pluim Bad ass, I’ll check your page. I love doing aero work and plan on doing the same thing splitter, diffuser etc. Agreed on the 305 it would be nice but tight, Im hoping the white line kit gives me the space I need. Never the less I’ll give it the old college try..haha

J2GXP I keep on considering doing a 2/3 radiator but thicker and do a front mount turbo with the inlet facing through the bumper cover. Cannot find a radiator that gives thermal specifications though so I cannot do the calcs

KMMG That would be bad ass, yeah I went cold case because it’s drop in no real modification required to make it work plus the price was to good to pass up. There are thicker rads you can get but it’s not straight bolt on and doesn’t come with the trans cooler at the bottom, also the ones I priced out were close to 850-900 USD so cold case was an easy choice.

Is this a total custom turbo build? Can you giva a list of parts you used for the turbo please?

John DOE It’s a turbo kit that I worked with Cartunning performance to develop. You can buy it as a complete kit with alky and cut out

Were there any modifications required to fit that cold case rad in there? I am seeing where some people claim it doesn't 2009.5 models.

Mine bolted right up, I think a lot of the issues were with the first run of the radiators. They changed the design slightly the year after.

@@J2GXP I plan to give them a call, their website claims 2008/9 GT specifically. seems to exclude GXP which all the 2009.5 were. I had always assumed there were 2009.5 GTs , but maybe not?

It works perfectly on my M6 Gxp, the rads are the exact same as a GT

@@J2GXP I also have the M6. I spoke to cold case and they said the original one had some clearancing issues that have since been resolved. regarding the 2009.5 year he did say that their silicon hoses won't work on it as they changed for the .5 but the rad should be a drop in for any G8. I have one on order and hope to install it this weekend.

Ok perfect buddy, the install is pretty easy but I did have to clean up the weld around the overfill fitting on the rad in order to get the factory vent/overflow line to slide on. Other then that it was a pain free install.

Chijioke Penny I like the fact that there is a bolt on aluminum replacement for the G8, I did have to clean up some sloppy welding on it other then that it is a good rad for the price. I also used stock fans for now 👍🏻

I had a nightmare with that rad and would not recommend it to anyone. It might've been a fluke, but it had multiple major fitment issues. See here for pics g8nation.com/showthread.php?t=46085
