@jgunther10 I had a 2002 Trans AM WS6 and 'yes' you can see the start of the hood and it angles down out of visibility. Great car, great power and comfort and one of the best I have ever owned.

Just the name of this car sounds badass... The "WS6 Ram Air Trans Am" When I used to sell cars, I got to test drive all of them, including these cars. The salespeople did all their own swaps too, so I drove a few of these Ram Air's over 100 miles on certain occasions. Nice car

C5 z06 Corvette got a 5.7 ls6 ls2 are 6.0 found in gto and the early c6 corvette before they switch to ls3

All that ws6 is a standard ls1 with SLP intake and exhaust plus a little bit of suspension mods to I beleive

very nice car but it is a ls1 not ls2 and yes it should have ws6 emblems not pontiac emblems on the rims, respect what your driving thank you, its not a ferrarri but its not supposed to be i had one of these a couple years ago and would love another, very very very very nice car and you cant beat the looks of this car, if anyone has bad things to say ive owned 0ver 40 sports cars, you CANNOT beat a fbody 30mpg highway 350 hp put 1 grand in it and youll have 400 hp very nice cars very very nice

@knapp221 Those are factory rims for the 2002 WS6 T/A. They came on my Navy Blue 02 WS6 right from the factory, brand new. The wheels you mention were discontinued or they ran out of them for 2002, I don't really know. There is no WS6 badge on my rims, they look exactly like these. Makes me wonder if these guys even know what they have, or had, in their showroom, perhaps it's an 02??? Or maybe a few 01's hit the road with them late in that year. LS2? haha, get a clue chicago

i so would love to have one of these here in germany, these things make great power in fact more or at least as much as many of the european sports cars that cost like 5 times as much. yea i know, no need to bringp up the "yea but the interior.." :D i like them a lot they turn a lot of heads here and they have a lot of potential to even get more power out of them, a real sleeper here in germany for sure. anyways, greetings from germany chris.

I have a question hopefully you or anyone who sees this will answer. I have a '99 Trans Am with auto trans that's shot and needs universal joints. Is this car worth repairing or should I just junk/donate it.? The car has over 181K on it but it still runs okay but it feels real warm under the hood (gauges say the cooling is fine). I hope to hear from anyone :).

The skipshift was our in so the fuel mileage would benefit, if there is a way for the driver to turn it off, ie...a switch, then EPA tests mpg with it off, defeating the purpose of the skip shift

@19danflo you can get one for 7,000 and it gets really good gas milage for a v8 like 27 highway gm toned down the ls1 so it gets better gas than if it were more powerful

They are rated at 17 City / 26 Hwy / 20 Overall. But on the highway, you should be able to do better than 26 mpg though. Good luck with your future T/A, that's an awesome car!

i wonder if i was the only one who caught this, he said it had an ls2, the only motor the trans am had in 2001 was ls1 which for the ws6 had 335 hp after 2000 and in late 2002 it had 345 hp. 2001 they put in an ls6 intake manifold, in late 2002 they added a black wing intake.

It never had less power it was heavier it had all the sport luxuary goods, best sound, leather etc. Its like 300 to 400 pounds heavier. But that can be change with small weight reduction
