The Mercury Marauder was initially intended to be the Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor in 1998 but because of the cost of them Ford decided to shelve the project, but because it was such an awesome performance package they decided to rebadge it as a Mercury Marauder a few years later for just 04 & 05 i believe & it's an absolute beast of a car!

As weird as the last gen Cougar was, I love it because of it being built on the Mondeo/Contour platform with the crispy 2.5L Duratec V6. Fucking phenomenal handling platform, which is why SVT took their hands to the Contours to make it like the Mondeo ST200. The LN7s were quirky, but cool as hell. The Ford equivalent twin, the EXP, was pretty damn cool. Can be mistaken for a Fox Stang, even though it obviously isn't. They did pretty good trying to make the Stang and the Escort have a child. Heart and soul is all Escort, but the styling ques are pretty Fox-influenced
