Pontoon Helm UPGRADE - Gauge & Switch Panel Installation

MAKE SURE TO POINT THE ARROW OF YOUR TACHOMETER TO THE PULSE SETTING DESIRED. My eyes failed me and I set it to 3P in this video on accident, and had to change it to 6P later.
This video walks through installing the upgrade gauge and switch panel on the standard helm from Pontoon Stuff. This offers the option to make this smaller platform console look very nice and have all sorts of room for accessories, all while still having gauges. This is as close to plug and play as it gets in the aftermarket boat world for gauges and electrical accessories!

Thank you! Cori ordered it, she said it's the newest model...DJI Mic 2. Bought it on Amazon along with some lavalier lapel microphones, but haven't played with those yet as the unit is pretty small and not obstructive to where on my hat or shirt. I have noticed that when it saves the file to my photos on my iphone the words and video get off slightly as the video recording goes...but the video on the DJI app is perfect. There's some issue with processing it down to save in photos.

Are those seat covers from Pontoon Stuff? Do you have a video on those covers?

We have a seamstress in house to makes custom snap on seat covers for the boats we restore. We're in Grand Rapids, MI if it's something you're interested in. Otherwise check with local upholstery shops. Our custom seat covers are usually around a $1800-$2000 add-on, but super easy to use, stay in place, and are made of high quality marine canvas. It's the simplest way to protect the investment in new seats for the life of the boat.

I’m wondering about taping the template on the helm and then using an x-acto knife to trace it which would cut the paper and leave a mark on the helm. Might be easier than scissors and sharpie. I’m just thinking out loud. Haha. Always love your videos!

I could absolutely see that working well too. I’d still probably trace your razor blade cut with a sharpie though as the plastic shavings/dust might make seeing your line tough without marker lines.

Good eye! Time to get mine checked. I did have to fix that before the boat went home, now I know where it was goofed up. Hopefully folks do as I say and not as I did there. Move the arrow to the number!!
