I think that this was Angelina's acting, there had been an issue with homework, Angelina tended to be rather ahead of her classmates, I understand that she was allowed to skip 6th grade and go directly to 7th grade. She said that she learnt more from travelling than she did at school, found her private tutors (when touring) more useful. I hope that she has a better time at school in L.A. I can imagine that at the time of this party she would have already been working on the lyrics for Rehab - they wanted to send me to school, but I said no, no, no!

a fun sidestory to the birthday party clip is that its beeing taken by Omer Bhatti who was one of the judges on Norway got talent when she won. He has become a friend of the family and helps out sometimes. I read a interwiev in either (VG or DB) that if he help out the family driving Angelina somewhere and she starts singing in the car he sometimes just have to pull the car over and sit and listen =)

Thanks Pontus, anything "new" about Angelina is always a treat. As a retired teacher, I'm glad to see Angelina takes her homework seriously. Omer has driven Angelina to some lessons & he has said that sometimes she just starts singing & he has to pull over to listen.

I've seen these before, I thought this was her 10th birthday? I think that Omer was in the joke, Angelina and homework - not a good relationship, Juliette happy to have a part in the play!. The game she was playing is where a friend thinks of a song, Angelina looks up the lyrics, then sings for the first time. With all the people that are always filming, I'm sure that more short clips will be revealed as time goes on.

Angelina, as you say, is a very special treasure, & I love her individual voice. However, I have another absolute GEM for you. Completely different genre. Angelina on Jazz & this young lady Opera. Her name is Amira Willighagen who won Holland’s Got Talent at the age of nine, without having a single singing lesson. She taught herself by watching uTube videos featuring the likes of Pavarotti. Amira engaged a vocal coach shortly after, & has since performed in 13 countries and sung in at least 5 languages, She is now 16, & WOW, what a voice. Below are a few performances for your consideration. ... O Mio Babbino Caro at age 10. Select the one with Andre Rieu, the world renown conductor/ musician, as Andre invited Amira to perform at Maastricht, to an audience of 15,000, who rose as one to give her a standing ovation. ... Nella Fantasia at age 12. Select the concert performance ... Gabriella’s Song at age 14. Again select the concert performance ... Sound of Music medley at age 15. Amira is about one octave above the original by Julie Andrews, & he nails it. My music genre was certainly not Opera until I heard Amira’s powerful, Angelic voice, & I now listen to her daily. I hope you’re interested, as she has a unique Soprano voice, in my opinion, which will carry her to the highest echelons of the Opera world. Thanks, Graeme, & keep up the good work.

Although there is a little echoing , ( but that’s just the venue ) it doesn’t minimise her brilliance. The emotional aspect of her performance is so, so impressive for a youngster of only 11.
