You will not believe this shit. Ive been seriously considering going to uvic, im from a background much like yours. I was about to not apply because my parents want me to stay close but i randomly stumbled upon your video on reddit. My mind is blown. Im definitely applying

Duuuuuude UVIC IS A LIFE CHANGER. If you end up going, make sure you get into a good res so you can meet excellent people. That's all it's about: the people you meet. Fuck the classes and the school in my opinion, although it's smart to get decent grades. But the atmosphere, the energy, the experiences, the good times camping out with friends in the surrounding wilderness, the chill weather, going to karaoke nights at the bar, LIFE CHANGING. You can get a diploma and good grades from any university, but you can't get the amazing times you get at UVic anywhere else.
