Ponytail Palm - Houseplant of the Week

I lived in 29 palms California and I know it seldom rains there and temps are 120 all day long and gets real cold at night ! It’s also dry heat! This grows there to!

Misting the pony-tailed palms does help. It prevents brown tips on the lower leaves. I shuck off any dying leaves on the bottom as they die. 🪴

I thought I killed my ponytail plant by leaving it in the rainy last spring. When the summer came I left it to fend for itself and by the fall new growth started so, uhm, I took it back inside for the winter and it's doing great now.

How can we avoid the tree getting fatter in height? It is much more beautiful when the bottom is spherical and the top is a thin tree.

Deserts hard,y get any rain and it gets real cold at night in deserts ! I know I lived in 29 palms California where it get to 120 degrees by early morning dry heat not bresseses

I recently bought a ponytail and it came with some green stuff at the base of the plant. Pretty but should I remove it?

I bought a pony tail palm It had been flip out of it's pot put back in pot. Thru a little time it has lost its ponytails except for one what am I doing wronge is it going to die. I also have it in my kitchen is that a bad place to be

Thank you for the tips. I believe I need to repotting my ponytail plant, the pot I chose way to big , and also why are some leaves turning brown? What can cause this problem?

Sometimes it just happens, or it could be underwatered or getting to much sun, it could also be stress, or if it’s the lowest leaves that are turning brown then it’s totally natural.
