It looks spectacular! Word of caution - these can become a lifetime commitment! I bought one in 1977 and another in 1986. Still have both. The more you upsize their pots, the bigger they will get. Both of mine are in 30" plastic pots. The older is over 6 feet tall and has multiple branches. The younger one is over 9 feet tall, multiple branches, and is a beast to move to protection in the winter especially since I'm almost 70 years old. 😂 It probably weighs well over 200 pounds. I just can't part with them yet.

I'm loving the size of this ponytail palm. I have purchased it (mentally) at least 3 times and have been very satisfied lol. My son purchased this plant for me for christmas 2019 (planterina), i transferred it over to leca about a month ago. It is doing fine. the roots were coming out the bottom and a pup is growing too (was there when it arrived). I am hoping it will be super happy in the leca. Great choice, Great video. I'm so glad to have found you. I love my Ponytail Palm................but unfortunately, so do my 3 cats! They chew the leaves as soon as my back is turned. At night I have to move it into my bedroom closet and put it on a high shelf.........They can open the closet door but can't jump to the top shelf...........Obviously, there has to be a better way of discouraging them from snacking. When I saw Jensen, I thought I'd ask if you have a solution. Your PT is gorgeous. Mine is so very much smaller and I can't wait to see it healthy and hearty again. Thanks so much!

But the trunk and steam was in tact, so I cut/peeled off all the dead leaves my feelings were hurt because I felt my baby had to shave her head bald. Now I am seeing a spurt of green leaf coming up out the base of foot.
