Ranger Reacts: MLP FiM: S6 Ep 17, Dungeons and Discords

When Fluttershy takes a trip, Discord is asked to hang out with Spike and Big Mac. Can the master of chaos have fun? Or will it not be his cup of tea?
This was a really fun episode. It was interesting to see Discord, Big Mac and Spike as a trio here. The dynamic was really interesting between them and made for a really fun episode to watch.

Discord's zoot suit was from the late '30s/early '40s. However, there were '20s influences here and there. They mixed time periods kind of freely. Interestingly, the"flapper" pony at 15:24 was a direct tribute to the great dancer Josephine Baker. Google her. And I thought Discord looked more like Legolas than Link, but your mileage may vary. I think Pinkie was supposed to be a Bard.

Actually, Discord is supposed to look like Legolas from Lord of the Rings, pretty close though. Rainbow looks more like a thief to me, though I do agree that she looks Assassin's Creed-like, and I'm pretty sure Pinkie is supposed to be a Bard ( a support class that basically sings songs for stats boosts and such). My own personal DnD experience was fun (and I have to share) and was made up on the spot, by our dungeon master though he did plan things, and since half of it came out of his a$$ depending on what WE rolled he kept us guessing, me especially because he couldn’t remember that the ghost dog’s name was Zero from the Nightmare before Christmas, and thus I did not see Jack Skelllington hanging in a body bag int the corner of the final room being guarded by a dragon even being a thing. Nor did any of us forsee being attacked by three dragons, fire breather , water spouter, and a bone dragon, and Jack Skellington saving our arses last friggin’ minute by teleporting us out of there. And somewhere in the middle of that particular room of casting spells at the hanging body bag, a friend of mine who was a slime and had a small bit of magic to him rolled a low number and turned himself into a sheep, I tried to help him out with my own magic while our other two party members focused on dragon number 1 and the body bag. I also rolled a low number and I got absorbed into the sheep and we became a two headed sheep. Numerous rolls later we finally get a good one and we disappear for a bit while the fight is escalating with dragon number one with our other two party members, eventually our sheep body turns into a FLAMING SHEEP WAGON and my slimy friend and I pop out of it a-ok. and then the remainder in the paragraph above happens. We never did get to finish or continue properly after we teleported, we did at first but then a new kid came and then our DM took a week off and we had a battle royal in the week he was away and the DM wanted to base the story off of that which was impossible because we all died, except for the temporary DM because his character is a paladin and I was extremely inexperienced and I was the last one to die (quite spectacularly mind you but still...) our adventure had pretty much ended...on the weirdest of notes. But the important thing is we had fun!^.^ Just had to share that story.

Not only that, but the exact quote "Did you see Big Mac's sword? I totally want in!" can also be interpreted as "Did you see Big Mac's sword I totally want in?" ;) And a while earlier Twilight set up the ground for this innuendo by saying to let them finish whatever it is they are doing, suggesting they're doing something kinky ;J But if you're looking for some more serious adult jokes, watch "Legend of Everfree" :q

He'd be a great voice, sure, but all the references within the Discord character to the Star Trek character Q (played of course, by De Lancie) is part of what makes him so amazing. In my opinion.
