The Hunter Exam Arc proves to be super important to the series, as it introduced a ton of characters that don't figure into the story all the time and can be brought back later. So when Ponzu, a character we know and at the very least didn't hate dies like that, it hurts more than if it were a random hunter. I'm with you, that was heartbreaking.

One thing about Hunter X Hunter i really enjoy is it has no peak. Each arc is something different I honestly don't know how Togashi comes up with this stuff. I can't think of a series to date that has the potential of a HXH to continue to outdo it self time and time again. Even in Hiatus it's amazing to see how much people discuss it. I liked Ponzu and was depressed about her death for a week. But then I thought that she did best she can. She gave coordinates of Chimera Ants nest and than died trying to find help for someone she loves as quickly as possible. All her thoughts was about that. I think that`s the cause of her death, and that`s why she didn`t see that shot coming and her bees didn`t react to this somehow. Scene of her death was pretty cool though, as it impacted me so much. I`m fan of some brutal and depressive stuff like Berserk or NGE for example, but Ponzu`s death is completely different from what I`ve seen before. And that`s cool. R.I.P Ponzu, you were awesome. You are one of my favourite characters, although you had such a minor role in storyline, little screentime and little development. I hoped you`ll become hunter, you had potential for it, even though you were so unlucky. So, you are not forgotten, I`ll keep you in my memories ^_^
