We know that Pariston puts himself in disadvantageous situations to throw people off of their game and to be unpredictable so him actually scheming this plan isn't too off beat, even if people find out he brought them from the Dark Continent with the help of Beyond Netero he can say that they wanted to study them but somehow the queen got free and noone can proof if that happened willingly or accidentally. I don't think he wanted the chairmen to die initially since he was a challenge for him, i assume he wanted some of the Chimera Ant soldiers after the hunter organization dealt with the main threat and use them to help invading the Dark Continent. Something absolutely precious must be there because otherwise that whole plan was way too risky, humanity was in danger after all and i don't think Pariston is that insane to take that risk without big payoff if things go according to plan.

I feel like a major detail no one has mentioned that adds to this theory is that when Gon & Killua go to Kite after Green Island he was in Kakin after being hired by the Kakin empire to do a ecological research & a biological survey of the area looking for and discovering a bunch of new life forms but I don’t believe he found the Chimera Ants on his survey. As Kite was leaving the country happy with his work the border patrol guy stops him & shows him the Chimera Ant Queens arm found by another expedition team. He then finds the Chimera Ant colony that he was quarantining when Gon & Killua met him. I think that Kakin were also in cahoots with Pariston & Beyond. I think they specifically hired Kite on Paristons recommendation as he knew his strength & knew he was Gings protégé. (I’m presuming Kite is well known enough by hunters that Pariston would’ve encountered him before & known he was close to Ging hoping for maybe a double whammy of Neteros death & Kites death having a negative affect on Gings mental state. Kites revival ofc throws this part of the plan off & im not sure Ging would’ve been bothered anyway) and with Paristons intuition displayed in the Chairman Election & if he did knowingly send Pokkle & his team to the slaughter, it’s not out of the realm of possibility he would be able to foresee Kite finding his way to NGL & being overwhelmed by Nen wielding ants & eaten by the Queen, Kite meeting Gon & Killua just sealed his fate. As the Kakin Empires goal is to migrate to the dark continent they would also have a vested interest in having Isaac Netero die, it makes sense that the Queen was in Kakin at some point & someone from Kakin originally severed her arm and possibly were the ones to send her in the direction of NGL again most likely with Pariston and/or Beyond’ guidance to kickstart events. I’m not sure how well this will hold up under scrutiny but it makes sense in my head so far lol I hope someone sees this :))

I ve found this channel in 2018 and since then I ve been following for keeping the HxH alive. Hell i even started following op at some point although I ve dropped the anime years ago due to toei. It’s the first time I m disliking one of your videos. I put the vid to relax after a long day at work while taking a bath and suddenly at minute 8:08 two ads start, the second of which is like 7 minutes long ? Holy shit man. Interesting theory, with an intriguing cliff hanger. Looking forward to Part 2. That said, I find a lot of it hard to accept. The plan as you lay it out is too complex, involves too much time, and involves a lot of unforeseeable happenstance. I'm not saying you are wrong, just that the overall plan and its goals are unlikely, IMO. I don't know anything beyond the 2011 anime adaptation, but the feeling I got from that was that Parriston was clearly an antagonist but not an actual villain. I don't deny he may have been behind the disappearance of a number of hunters, but there has been no actual evidence that he was. What helped redeem him in my eyes was the way he acted after becoming chairman. He immediately turned it over to Cheadle, advising her to quickly reform the Hunter Exam. Plus, unrevealed to Cheadle was the loss he seemed to feel at the loss of Netero. These things don't necessarily contradict your theory, but lead me to doubt it.

How likely is it that Isaac's dictate against Dark Continent travel to Beyond was enforced by a Nen Vow/Hatsu? Specifically, either Beyond himself makes a Vow (similar to Komugi) OR another user imposed the condition on him (similar to Judgment Chain). Pros -Nen can do anything -Nen can persist after a user's death Cons -Nen conditions can be exorcised -How exactly is the Vow/Hatsu meant to release upon Isaac's death? Something that crossed my mind when you mentioned that Beyond abided by the dictate. A strange thing. And when strange things happen in HxH, Nen is usually at the heart of it. I give it about a 60% that this theory is true and a 20% that we'll ever know definitively either way.

Narratively speaking, it's way better that the Chimera threat is not orchestrated by anyone, the Dark Continent is just so dangerous that a simple ant coming back with the expedition by hiding on the boat can become an extinction level threat. I also think Togashi was inspired by thing like that happening in the real world, like the asian hornet that managed to board a plane to Europe and started killing the bee population.

yeah, this theory is a lot of fun but i agree with you that it would be a better story without a conspiracy behind it. pariston comes off more as exploiting-a-situation than pulling-the-strings type. the dark continent is just such a hot button issue politically pariston has no choice but to use it as leverage to get what he wants. at least, thats how i see it.
