My tips for best sim development: Scrambler QBs -> anywhere else (they do not develop Accuracy ratings at a fast pace compared to Improviser and Field General) Any 85+ Overall WR -> HB (most times they tend to jump in Overall around 4-12 points) Physical WRs -> Possession TEs (note: not Vertical Threat TEs, as they will not develop fast, unless you are changing them as Seniors) Agile OL -> Blocking TEs (tend to develop fast, and start with many Platinum abilities) Any OL -> Anywhere else on OL (pretty intuitive) Run Stopping DEs -> Run Stopping DT (they develop faster and start higher Overall) Speed Rusher DTs -> Speed Rusher DEs (same explanation as above) Run Stopping OLBs -> Run Stopping MLBs or Run Stopping DTs (again, faster development) Field General MLBs -> Pass Coverage OLBs (if possible) Hybrid Safeties -> Literally anywhere else immediately (Hybrid Safeties = slowest progression in game, switch anywhere else; tend to make good CBs)

For anyone about to comment about how they play, note that this is for simulation and development purposes only. If you like certain play archetypes when playing the game, this list will make little difference to you, but I can assure you this list will ensure your players develop as fast as possible. Lastly, these tips are pretty provable.

I tried something for the tightends and it helps alot I take possession tightends with good speed and immediately move them guard or tackle and let them develop for a year there and then to WR if they don't end up keeping slot archetype. Even if they do when moved back to tightend they usually end up as a blocking tightend with platinum abilities and still have some room to grow with hands and route running.

Had a guy in my online league move a scrambling QB (with a Jalen Milroe/Anthony Richardson build) to RB. He runs the same dual halfback formation for most of the game and you never know what to expect. Hand off to the true RB? Handoff to the QB/RB convert? Read option? Trick play halfback pass from the QB/RB. You never know what’s coming and it’s hard to defend.

The one problem with the WR -> TE move is that you are nuking the player's development. I used to do this a lot, I've stopped moving them there because it ends up just being a waste of a premium player. Yes you can argue "But I get more speed on the field and win" or "But there's mismatches" but the big problem is in development. I'll do it when I have a surplus of athletes and I need bodies at TE, but I'm not gonna intentionally move a premium talent there for the speed, I want my players to develop instead of having trash caps and an archetype that doesn't develop blocking stats properly.

Another point on run stopper ends: If you find the right ends with decent caps and great-excellent athleticism, you can still play him as your DE in your main formations and sub in the pass rushers at rush DE. I've noticed that it's very rare to find a pass rushing DE that's actually decent against the run without moving a LB or power back there. Sure you can go all in on the pass rush, but if you've noticed that your defense isn't doing great against the run, your pass rushing DEs are a big point of weakness.

Another great thing about that is in All my testing the best a Blocking TE comes with is 72 Impact Blocking (enough for Silver Second Level Skill), and can never upgrade that rating (not anywhere in upgrades), while moving a OL to Blocking TE will almost always guarantee starting out at Platinum for that ability.

What's the best way to get high speed RBs? I typically never recruit Rbs because when I do their speed is always low 90s. I've been switching my end of the board deep threat WRs with high speed to RB. The problem I've noticed with that is they're always receiving back archetypes that dont have the shifty ability. And for WRs, I switched a deep threat WR to RB to then switch him back to gain abilities, but the only option is a route runner now. Would love a video talking about best ways to switch positions between WR and RB specifically to maximize their growth with the meta physical traits and is there a way to determine what archetypes will be available for a flip back position change? For example, is there a way to flip an elusive RB to a certain position to guarantee that the elusive archetype will be available to flip back to afterwards?

Elusive RB is one of the most difficult Archetypes to switch into, or even back into. Usually, you will have to get lucky with an ATH QB. The best you can do is either scout and recruit Elusive HBs with high Speed and Acceleration, or find an ATH QB or CB to switch into an Elusive HB. There are no guarantees because players can develop the way they want to that is somewhat predictable, but still random.

moving lineman to TE is cap. You want to move Physical WRs with 95+ speed and lower Accleration to TE. Same thing with CBs, take high Speed low Acceleration and move them to Safety. The game is all about having speed at spots that will create mismatches. deep threat WR to RB is probably the best of any - I've ended up with 97 overall RS Freshman RBs - great 3rd down backs and split out nicely. Slower Power RBs to FB are nice too.
@jolteon345
@jolteon345 Ай бұрын
You don't want to move any lineman to TE. It's just plain stupid to move guys with less than 70 speed there. However, the athlete centers usually make amazing TEs. You say that the game is about speed to create mismatches, what about having a SIXTH OL on running plays because you moved one to TE? If someone is committed, they can move two athletic OL to TE and run 7 OL on running plays to help make massive gaps. Speed isn't the only way to create mismatches. I personally hate moving WR to TE, the guy doesn't develop well 9/10 times because his TE caps are usually terrible and he won't gain blocking finesse/power, so you end up with a talented player that sits at 75-80 ovr and has no shot at becoming a draftable player. It's very shortsighted to go "The game is about mismatches, but only when they work the way I want them to"

@@jolteon345 I would torch you every single play with a WR moved to TE with 95+ speed. unstoppable
@meast33
@meast33 Ай бұрын
@@jolteon345 I'd argue that if you need to put a 6th lineman on your line in order to run the ball, you are likely just not good at running the ball or finding the hole. 95+ speed TE is unstoppable. Speed does kill in this game, you find 1 weak link in a secondary and can repeatedly exploit it until they change their defense significantly, thus making running even more easy. Up to you how you wana play the game, but having slow players at skill positions is simply trolling yourself - unless youre going like option run Navy style or something excessive. I only recruit lineman with 70sp/80acc/90str - they get to the 2nd level so well you don't really even need to worry about a blocking TE.
@jolteon345
@jolteon345 Ай бұрын
@@meast33 Dude of course speed helps. But moving a fast WR to TE is trolling yourself unless you're in a short-term dynasty or you're specifically looking to exploit your way to national championships. It's a waste of talent unless it's a senior that you're moving over for the last year, or the WR already reached his skill caps. You have a player that could be a 90+ Ovr receiver/DB or a crazy user MLB and you put him at TE and let him barely develop just cause his speed is working at TE? Your argument against creating mismatches with blocking OL can also be used against your point of moving fast WRs to TE. You say you need to be bad at running or finding the hole to "need" a sixth OL, and you can argue that you're bad at passing if you need to move a fast WR to TE to exploit the speed and have an open man. It sounds silly when you use it against your point. All it boils down to is people looking for different experiences. I'm not looking to experience online dynasties where everyone is going for 4-5 star players with low rated schools and there's a significant amount of people moving fast WRs to TE to exploit the speed, so I don't seek out those experiences. It doesn't make other things less valid or people "bad" if they utilize other forms of mismatches.

I did Boise as my first rebuild when the game came out. Malachi Nelson was the presumptive starter at that point, so I just kind of pivoted from hammering Jeanty to a quick rpo offense. Jambres Dubar and Sire Gaines were pretty solid RBs, and my WR recruiting went really well in year 1. Prince Strachan can be a good deep threat that’s already on roster. Lost to Oregon in the regular season and the semifinal. If receiver recruiting went poorly, you probably don’t have a lot of passing options. Get in pistol formation and just rotate through your backs. Boise’s line can mug most of the Mountain West. You can just replace Jeanty with a committee of less talented backs (Dubar has good speed iirc).
