I started with the Kusarigama in Nioh 1 and fell in love. I played hundreds of hours with that weapon alone, and barely touched anything else. It just feels so intuitive for me, I hardly know how to use other weapons because you can't control the space as well. I think it's a great beginner weapon, weirdly enough, because you can sorta abuse the enemy AI with positioning, distance, pulls, and foot sweep. I'm trying out some of the new weapons for Nioh 2 though, but I have a soft spot for this one. Thanks for the guide, I still learned something, especially that I should use dodge attacks more often! One thing that I think should be mentioned though is that some of the abilities function oddly on slopes. There are a lot of slopes throughout missions, and you can completely miss attacks because the sickle or weight might not go where you think it should. It takes some practice to eyeball a slope and know what's going to happen before you attack and get stuck in an animation

I have played kusarigama since Nioh 1 and sadly gotten stuck a bit in the high stance quick attack mindset. Thank you for these ideas.

You honestly shouldnt feel bad about that. Its by far the coolest high stance attack. Kusa is one of the only weapons where Ill often default to high stance and only switch around when the situation calls for it. Whereas with almost any other weapon I prefer to sit in low stance

It's used to attack ki and wear your enemies stamina down from a distance, then close distance and attack. It's a sneaky ninja weapon!

One of my favorite go-to's for kusa is to use Deadly Mark into an immediate odachi flash attack. The pressure you can put on humans in particular with that combo is pretty nuts.

I fell in love and gravitated towards using kusa/odachi since Nioh 1 dlc. Human enemies don't stand a chance against this combination.

The only worthwhile attack of this weapon is high quick combo. It obliterates everything but there is not enough window to use on bosses and the more difficult yokai

​@@CidGuerreiro1234been using this weapon since nioh 1 and there absolutely is if you get good with the timing/flow of kusa. Like spear you need to use kusa mid distance especially in high-use then transition to sickle after pulls/stuns. It's an aoe weapon and a beast for clearing groups

Kusari is all about positioning, some attacks can almost work as dodges when used right, great video.

I swear the reaper skill is basically the easy mode of this game, for most of the enemies.

Did you get into it yet? I finished the main story in nioh 1 and loved it so much I started another play thru then halfway thru was like, “wait isn’t there nioh 2?” Now here I am lol

@@sword-and-shield bro ion gone lie I played halfway thru nioh 2 and went back to 1 lmao. I’ll go back eventually but nioh 1 just feels and plays so much better to me. Nioh 2 turned the cheese up to 1000 both for the player and the AI

I have the really pretty fire imbued sword literally always equipped usually as my secondary with my primary being a purity or corruption weapon but if im fighting mostly humans ill put sword on as my primary for the mystic art that lets you timely guard easier​@PooferLlama

I used kusarigama since my NG in nioh2, i agree to that, this weapon is complicated to use but if you manage to use it, it's fun :) my fave skill are, renegade dragon, deadly mark and reaper. btw you didn't use the custom active skill setting? set to dex for more damage?

I'm curious, should I only use one weapon or should I use two? I feel like if I focus on one weapon at a time i will be more effective but I am never able to choose what I wanna use.

I swap between weapons very frequently but that is going to take quite a while to learn. I'd say stick with one for a bit and then, when you've gotten used to it, add in a second.

@@PooferLlama Also would you recommend A Ninjutsu build with Kusa? I think I might go for that in this start, I do have multiple books to reset my stats if need be. But i would like a second opinion

@@all-mightyloaf3192 It's an option given the both share Dexterity but you can use any weapon with just about any build. If it interests you, then go for it.

The reason for học quick attack is because of its ridiculous damage. It’s probably 10x more than any other attack combos in any stance.

i just ended up spamming deadly mark, it's too good, easy to enter a fight, high hit counts for ki damage and elemental attack

With earthfall kusa and a purity talisman that or renegade dragon will instantly proc purity. With a corruption one, you can chain both and corrupt the enemy. Awesome skills
