A great way to keep billiard balls, also known as pool balls, clean and polished for greater performance. Part 2 of 2.

I clean our rugby club table. I wouldn't use car wax as it will leave a residue on the cloth and affect contact. I use a cleaner and restorer designed for balls.

I would clean only the cue ball. If it is waxed you are way more likely to mis cue. Been there....done that. A Mr. Clean magic eraser cleans up a cue ball nicely. That's what I use to clean the whole set before polishing them.

@TerryGRMM Search for: Billiard / Pool Ball Polisher & Buffer on ebay. It's there now

Looks cool but you know you are 100% not suppose to use wax on balls right? The wax builds up on the cloth as well as takes away natural spin transfer between balls. You can use a paste cleaner then need to use rubbing alcohol to remove anything from balls. It's actually right in the rule book.

Did you use the same cleaning method on your head?

Using the wax, alcohol, and water in the same container seems odd. I know when that wax dries that pad won't be the same after the first time doing that. Seems like you need a separate container for each step. Right?......
@cleanbilliardballs8 жыл бұрын
It's just a matter of rinsing out the container after every use. A 3rd container would definitely save time but to keep costs at minimum, 2 is all that is required.

What inspires you to 'wax' billiard balls?

Using automotive wax on pool/billiard balls is really a bad idea. Your ball set will play far different than any other set of balls you play with. This will affect cue ball english, throw on cuts, cut induced spin, and etc... Aramith ball cleaner for example does not use silicon or Carnunuba, it is not a slippery finish when you finish cleaning your ball set.People should consider researching the info they share on the interweb so they are not sharing bad info as in this case.

Hi there, you seem to know a lot and I was hoping you could share with me the best way to clean your set? I have at aramith cleaner but I’m more concerned with how I actually clean them. Should I just use a microfiber towel and elbow grease, or is there a particular method? Also, do they need polished after or is it all in one? Thanks.
@fastone3713 жыл бұрын
@@DaCake2 It depends on how rough your set is. If they are pretty nice you can get away with the Aramith Ball Cleaner and a microfiber towel. If the ball set is real dull and beat up looking you will need to start with Aramith Ball Restorer and then finish up with the Ball Cleaner. Doing them by hand can be a lot of work, I would probably only do a few a night maybe while watching TV or sitting outside. Before I got ball polisher I hated doing them by hand and all of my ball sets were new!!. Good luck.

@@fastone371 Thanks for that. They are brand new. Only shot maybe 20 racks so far, but I love how new and shiny they look and just wanted to keep them looking that way for the weekend when I have company over.

Can you tell us where to get the Pool Ball Cleaner..?
Again, Is there anyone out there going to show the specs on what you made and how to make one. Or Do I just get to watch you work. Most of these videos just show the end product but not how to create one. I guess I will make one myself and show everyone just "how to" do it. Check on my site in the near future.

Bill, search eBay. Type in: Billiard / Pool Ball Cleaner / Polisher & Buffer It will cost you a lot less to buy than to make yourself

Any reputable billiard person would tell you to never use wax on balls, and don't chalk your cue tip with dry erase markers.
