Most newer pools in the US are now “salt water”. It doesn’t really mean the pool is filled with salt water like the ocean. You add salt to the pool and the “salt generator” attached to the filter uses the salt to create a mild form of chlorine. The water is slightly salty to the taste, but no chlorine smell at all, and you don’t need to shower after swimming.
