Daniel, I saw on Cole and Jay's channel that you were going to use the gar he shot for hog bait. I challenge you to do a side by side comparison between fried catfish and fried gar if you haven't already. My wife tried it, and preferred the fried gar over the fried catfish. It has a texture and flavor like fried gator. Love the channel, and all your videos, keep up the awesome work!!

#armsfamilyhomstead #Daniel, I don't know if you've ever done this but if you have a food processor and take your catfish and grind/blend it so that it is very finely shredded and add it in your biscuit mix and cook the biscuits with buttered tops and then put the catfish in the middle of biscuit. OMG!!!! It's truly AMAZING!! Come on here to South Carolina, I shall show y'all how do some amazing catfish southern dishes. Catfish stew, OMG my mouths watering just thinking of all the different southern catfish recipes I have, I just need some catfish #armsfamily! Also boy oh yeah do we have plenty of good fishing here. We have lakes, sea, ponds, creeks and off the beaten trails hole in the walls is that banjo music spots, islands to hang out fishing on, docks, piers. Ya name it, I can find it here for ya. Just some good ole southern times, now pour the sweet tea, kick up the piggies and have a great night. Tell #Deejay sorry we didn't get to see her and y'alls beautiful daughter this time. Growing up we had fish and eggs for breakfast with the eggs fried in the skillet where the fish was cooked and sometimes we would have frog legs and eggs because my grandfather lived on Herrington lake in Kentucky but we never had it on biscuits, I feel like I missed out by having toast lol

Those frog legs were huge. I haven't had any in forever but now I'm going to have to gets some. The catfish were nice real nice as Gomer would say. Lol. I've had breakfast a many a time with catfish but never thought to put it in my biscuit. And you could put a over easy fried egg on a flip flop and I would eat it. Love you guys.

Well Daniel, when you grow up on coast, this is a normal breakfast. My Dad always if we had extra fried fish the next day, he always would either scramble or fry up eggs and make oven toast and fry fish again just to get warm.

Daniel, you & Houston need to make up some pool noodles. Make a tool with a hook to grab the pool noodles. You can put a pool noodles on the tool to keep it from sinking if you drop it.

I always get my white as done as I can before I flip it over that way the white is totally cooked and turn it over real easy and let the egg finish for a minute or so, salt & pepper then out on the plate. Runny yolk with cooked white(I can't stand uncooked egg whites lol)

We used to just cut those alligator gar off our trot lines~and turtles too. Sure miss that clean tasting Spring River catfish! Fun video! I've never done what you all are doing, shooting the fish. We went frog gigging on occasion. Haven't had any good fish or frog legs in many, many years....nothing but that pond raised junk here in the city. And you can't find that easily now.
